What's your occupation?
Salary or wage?
Earnings per year? (gross and net)
Do you have a retirement plan? If so, what?
How did you get your job?
(I work at a rock quarry as a maintenance worker. Normally make $18ish an hour. It's a part time, however and I'm currently laid off.
Company offers a 401k and a 4% match. Might start a Roth IRA and try to max it out)

IT, system administrator. $60/hour No college education. Started out doing basic helpdesk for a company, eventually most of the people quit and I was left alone to manage all the servers and network. Learned a lot about Linux and windows servers, active directory, IOS(Cisco not apple.). When I got laid off in 2008 I used the spare time and unemployment benefits to get my MCSE which really helped launch me into my current job. I'm age 30 and my goal was to make 100k/year by the time I was 30 and have far exceeded that. For retirement my dad gave me a Roth IRA at age 20 and have been putting money in it ever since. Currently invested in fortune 500 but I think I am going to move it into or split it between state bonds. I don't like the idea of my retirement being dependent on a bunch of private companies doing well, especially after seeing what happened in '08
