I've gotten multiple exotics and tons of legendary items from Tiger strikes. Must not have done enough. Sure there's RNG but not only do I get good items once in a while, I see other people get them too, so it definitely happens.

I know it happens; many of my friends have unbelievable luck with the RNG. Just for a benchmark, of my last 100 blue engrams I've received all blue weapons and armor, and 1 mote. My last six cryptarch packages have all resulted in blue weapons and armor and 1 shader that I've obtained at least 10 times already. Of my past two vanguard level-ups, I've only received one package which resulted in more crap and 1 energy. I'm convinced the RNGesus hates me this week, lol. Not one strange coin outside of the weekly heroic reward and I've decrypted huge amounts of engrams, opened hundreds of chests, raided on both difficulties. My raids this week resulted in 2 shards, Found Verdict, and the remainder were energies. In fact, Found Verdict and Gloves of the Hezen Lords are the only things I've received from the raid other than shards and energy. I enjoy Destiny, but damn...

I feel your pain, anything purple or yellow in my inventory has been purchased. I only get the same damn blue low level armor and weapons.
