To be honest my upgraded Hard Light is a serious gun in PvP. At close to medium you will destroy Suros users. Obviously at long range you have no chance but just don't engage with anyone at distance. I bought a shadow price to get a feel for Suros and I prefer hard light and I'm used to the recoil now to the point where I'm choosing the higher impact perk over maximum stability
