The Multi-Million Dollar Question: PvE vs. PvP
Please just take a minute or less of your time to participate. What is more important to you in destiny? 50/50 there are no wrong answers here!

Personally I am a big fan of PvP, but like many others I bought this game for the 'epic' storytelling and co op PvE it was advertised for. Knowing Bungie I expected a lot more from PvP in this game and currently it's just not a go to for competitive multiplayer, but I hope to see improvement in the future.
I understand that many people on these forums are PvE players but there seems to be overwhelming demand for new PvE content and I hope to see a weekly update detailing the future of PvE sometime soon so we can all grind happily knowing it will pay off.
To those of you who wanted to know where the 'both' option was I intended this to be a black and white question with no neutral answer, that's why the question stated what's [b]most[/b] important. If you didn't vote that's okay 8,000 other people did.
This was my first post on these forums and i am very satisfied with the response, as a community we all need to keep up the constructive feedback on our ends and help the devs create a masterpiece!

Edited by SHREK T T: 10/26/2014 10:49:15 AMI love pve the story the role playing raids ect: i have got to the point where i am bored with destiny i have created a warlock,titan and hunter all lev 30 full raid gear except for titan that has the exotic chest.for the last week i do not know what to do i tried pvp but there is alot of lag and freeze ups plus my reactions are a lot slower than the 12 year old kids that play pvp so i stick to pve but what is there for me to do i complete the raid on all 3 chars every week on hard and gain nothing or (weapons i already have) there is no point doing the bounties because all i get is assendent shards (which i do not need) or very rarely a legendary engram which converts to assendent shards for some strange reason.The event's like defeat the spider tank is soo boring it is way to easy to kill it alone.Why can we not have heroic patrol's higher the level of the patrol the better the rewards like we do on the mission line some thing needs to be done ok the game has not been out long so we understand but destiny was suppost to be alot bigger than this but like all games now they release part of the game and then make you pay for more of the game its robbery like they do not make enough money on the game sale.but forget this give us more content!

I wouldn't consider myself to be bad in PvP but it's just not my type of coffee, I'd rather challenge myself by doing high-level PvE stuff. IMO it's outright stupid to call others bad for liking the single-player aspect of the game. I bet there's guys and girls out there only playing PvE who would totally destroy everything in the Crucible, it's just a question of personal preference and not a question of skill.

I need both components in all honesty. I consider myself a scholar, so interesting stories and knowledge intrigue me. But I am also a very competitive person too, which is why I love PvP. Bungie has done something most other MMORPG/MMOFPS or shared world shooters have learned from, which is separating PvE and PvP so that both sides are balanced and don't affect each other.

3 RepliesPersonally I prefer PvP. I simply don't see the replayability aspect of PvE; where every AI acts the same, and every enemy will be the exact same as each other of the same class; whereas in PvP, I am fighting human players rather than dumb computers. Are the raids fun? Yes. But the campaign is honestly boring to me. I'm simply too lazy to play PvE encounters that are the exact same over and over again.

I like PVE, but I think it has more potential for getting stale. The PVP has been very challenging for me at least.

Pve lets you explore the amazing mechanics of this amazing FPS Now PvP on the other hand is just CoD cracked out with powers and raining grenades and infinite radar! Make your choice wisely guardian.

This game was marketed as a pve based game and was bought by many as such. Im fine with pvp being in the game if it doesnt get everything nerfed for pve
