I'll comment before watching the video because there is another mindless idiot posting the same shit as every other drone out there who can't apply logic. Don't by the DLC because of cut content? Does this guy have physical evidence that this is what Bungie did? He even says the term speculation multiple times. This guy is a joke who just voiced his opinion without thinking it through. Let me pose an alternate and far more logical thought seeing as the guy in the video doesn't seem to know shit about game development. So we can get into sealed of areas on some maps, instantly it's "cut content". What if I told you that it could be the foundations for the DLC that was never implemented to begin with? You found icons of weapons and armour along with the locations of missions on the maps? This guy has never heard of the term "placeholder". If the areas for new missions are already built into the geography of the map on launch then the DLC will naturally be smaller and it would be a quicker process to do the scripting for enemies and the objectives and implement them into the closed areas. It's a very practical and smart move by Bungie to cut down on the development time and download size of the DLC considerably. But what about the weapons and mission icons on the map? Placeholders. ALL of this has been in the game since launch if not earlier. Does this make it cut content? No, it makes it planned content but you get illogical people like the one in the video who doesn't know jack shit about game development. I'm sick of shits like the OP of this thread constantly reposting this video as though it was a religion. This is a -blam!-ing feedback thread and NOTHING here is feedback. I'm reporting anyone that reposts this video again as spam.

  • Arashi I agree completely, I posted in a comment earlier that I think got removed, that even if this is 'cut content', everyone who is agreeing with this guy is forgetting that Bungie is a company looking to continue to make money on thier product, so complaining about them making a financial decision is just plain stupid. And really how does this video prove anything!

  • It's in the damn coding. The dlc is literally a $20 access code for a very sliver for a portion already in the game.

  • I agree completely, with this user, I have been a hardcore PC gamer for many, many years. And almost all game dvd's have placeholders for future DLC's or upgrades, or special events. And further more 99 percent of the people talking about how activision screwed bungie and this game, is all pure speculation. Is there any game publisher out there that isn't made to make money? Every game creation company has a deadline to meet, for releasing the game to the publisher. And bungie was no different. People need to get facts straight before posting ignorant comments or threads or videos.

  •
Does this guy have physical evidence that this is what Bungie did?
Yes? It's loaded on the disk? xD And just because the evidence isn't there, doesn't mean that there's an absence of evidence. How do we prove corruption exists in politics? We investigate! This video is clearly doing that. Just because you spend too much time on the forums doesn't discredit it's existence.
NOTHING here is feedback
Actually, Feedback: information about reactions to a product, a person's performance of a task, etc., used as a basis for improvement. The info here is that the person does not like the product, and because of that, they won't buy the DLC. Sounds like feedback to me, at least according to the definition haha.

  • Are you dumb if the evidence is absent then there is no evidence and you didn't even use quotation marks you are now a plagiarist

  • Because it's on the disk? Do you know what a placeholder is? Do you now how game development works? The thought process behind included the areas already in the game? It's supposed "cut content". I don't see him making mention that the was, a while, a post about how the story was changed a year before release. If the story is changed and these areas where added after that time then that "cut content" is no longer a valid option, it becomes "planned content". Even if that is not the case, because it is on the disk can be for the reason to cut down on the development time and download size of DLC, which, surprise surprise, would make it "planned content"
as a basis for improvement
He didn't exactly provide anything to improve on nor did it sound like he was providing a whole lot of alternatives, just putting together what other people had seen/heard.

  • All you have to do is look at the contract, the advertisement, and the game itself, and then piece things together. There are several elements in the advertisement that are not in the game, meaning something happened that made them scrap a good chunk of their work, including the story. Planets that were advertised as in the game, not as dlc, are missing. So here's what I think happened: close to release date, maybe about half a year, their was a disagreement that lead to lots of the game getting scrapped. However despite this activision still holds bungie to the contract that they must deliver the game on that exact date and they must still provide dlc. The result? Bungie frantically makes new content and is force to split it up for dlc and we got what we did. And for the record I didn't watch this video or read the post about the supposedly former employ, so I am not using them as means to support this.

  • Same with every other video game ever your never going to get everything that's been advertised I mean look every cod game ever made you don't see them complaining do you but you come here and get a bunch of entitled pieces of shit like you saying bungee scammed us and Campaigning for people to not buy the dlc

  • I didnt say bungie scammed us I said activision did and oh what a coincidink, they so happen to be the publisher for CoD too who, by the way, everyone hates for being greedy assholes and pushing out the same -blam!-ing game year after year, are you new to the Internet or something? Also entitled? Are you -blam!-ing daft? I'm saying the game promised in the advertisement existed and activision caused them to scrap it, not that we should simply get more than we got. What we wanted, what we expected, was already made! Activision just swooped in and -blam!-ed it up and made it an rpg version of CoD.

  • Four planets advertised and planned for release since, 04/29/14" I noticed that there are four spaces: Earth, The Moon, Mars, and somewhere else? DeeJ: Venus. Venus, right. So are they the four destinations that are coming out with the retail version? DeeJ: Currently those are the four destinations that you will explore in the game."

Because I've seen it from the other 100+ people that post it here, glad to see I was on the money about calling people unintelligent if you couldn't figure that one out yourself I truly hope no one else is as ignorant as you, but considering what I have seen on the forums I won't be holding my breath.
