Are you in immediate need of cash? Are you living paycheck to paycheck? If not, I would say to just go ahead and hold onto it for future updates that may improve your Destiny experience. If you have the money for it, and want to, you can wait to play the first DLC and then decide what to do after.

My finances are a balancing act over a long period of time. I have 3-5 months, not enough money and somehow manage to end up with spare cash. It's a miracle really xD
