That's a miss quote. He said that they would like to explore that space one day. Absolutely did not promise it was space we can explore yet.

I had a better longer post that my phone ate, must have been hungry. My phone that is but anyways: While the quote does say "One day take you there" the demo person makes two major omissions. 1) the engine they have procedurally generated the landscape that is seen and there currently is not plans to go there. 2) or these areas are there but maybe cut later on. Those two statements would absolve them completely. Instead he says his current comment and throws a grenade over there to show that there is indeed geometry there and that space does exist. One thing that does come from this is that's explorable in game. Just because their working demo doesn't have anything going on there no need to go that way since content was left out. They've had over a year to clarify this. It's been going around the Internet for a year. All explorable if you see it you can go to it. All comments that I'm sure all of you have said at one point or another. Shit I thought this was going to be Skyrim in Space. It was misleading and while the community is in part to blame for feeling this way. Bungie should also know that if they show something either follow through and allow people to visit the place or make it obvious we can't go there. There are places in the cosmodrome that I can walk on but I die cause I'm past this invisible wall that is entirely too close because for some weird reason they done want me exploring cliffs in an area that looks like it was built to explore. I mean there's a gold chest there. While there are lots of little things people blow out of proportion they went for cinematic awesomeness in all their promo videos where a simple (this is alpha footage; subject to change, may not be in final game) is fairly easy to add. So elements of the game that look cool but don't actually make it can't be held against them just like they are now.

I respect your opinion. We can agree to disagree. I'm fine with that. I feel that most people don't know how to quantify their feelings about what was presented and what they received. I still enjoy playing. I'm not even concerned about the amount of space I think though a lot of the uproar would have been less if the story was more coherent.
