Left at the Altar

My body is ready... But sadly, it was not meant to be. Tonight, as I began to wrap up my evening gaming, I got a message to join a fireteam. It said one word: Raid. I'm level 26, and only today have reached the exciting boundary that is level 3 Vanguard, and access to Legendary weaponry. I also finally finished the upgrades to my Exotic Helm, and basically just hit that switch from mid-endgame to later endgame. So I jumped at the opportunity, communicating with my newfound party through dance and waving until I could finally dig up the requisite a pair of headphones with a mic, success! I paired up with a raid veteran, and together we took the left plate, defended the right side, and as a team valiantly fought through the templar. It was... everything I thought it would be. It was challenging, it was bracing, and it required precision like no other part of Destiny has asked. I was lucky to have an experienced team alongside, answering my questions and backing me up. We started the long journey down the vault, to the final boss. I asked, "What should I be expecting?" No one told me to look out for centipedes. The screen goes black, the chatter cuts out, and I am left cold and alone in orbit. I frantically try to find a name, message one of my team mates, anything, but to no avail. Taken out by a Centipede, maybe my first, no more than my third ever, and yet it came right at the precipice of glory. It's bitter to go so far, and come up so short. But I can resume the raid, I just need some help. Is there anyone out there who can help me? TL;DR: Disconnected in my first run on VoG, at the third stage, need help finishing. -PS4 Wrathoftheraven
