Edited by GramOfJolly: 10/27/2014 7:14:34 PMAs you are dragging the body to a hiding spot, you break a dish. The guard gets up from the table and comes to the beverage room. He walks in and sees the broken dish, he doesn't see anyone or hear anyone. You jump him from behind the door, slit his throat and carefully place his body on the floor. There are no other threats in the dining hall.
i put up here to help scrolling.

On the top floor there are 2 sets of sets of guards. 1 pair is standing guard at the double doors and the other are patrolling the west corridor. The 2 guards at the double doors both have 2-handed swords. The other 2 are comprised of an archer with a crossbow and the other has a shield and axe.
-
Excuse me, can you continue my journey?
-
Sorry, not your DM.
I didn't mean any hard feelings on your post.
-
I loot the bodies of the guards, and then move slowly up the stairs, keeping my senses sharp.
-
Edited by GramOfJolly: 10/28/2014 1:20:33 AMThe only thing of use you find off the guards is, 14 Gold Coins. You are at the top of the stairs and you can see the patrol moving your way, they are on your side of the double door. They are probably about 100m in front of you.
PS your Silver Mace is stronger than Steel. Lol
-
Are they in a nearby room, or in my way?
You know that's not true from a realistic standpoint, right? Or are all of the guards vampires?
-
In your way
lol you spotted them then hid in the stairwell. Do you want me to be more realistic?
-
Are they moving toward me, away from me, or stationary?
Nah, it's fine. Just pointing it out for comic relief.
-
They are coming towards the stairs, you don't hear any chatter about going down the stairs, so they may turn around and walk the other way.
lol I don't really think realistically. As you can tell... Lol
-
I wait to see if they turn around.
Interesting fact- silver preserves the taste of alcohol better than any other metal.
-
Edited by GramOfJolly: 10/28/2014 6:38:37 AMThey reach the stairs and turn around but are stopped and having a chat. "Did you know that silver preserves the taste of alcohol better than any other metal?"
quoted Thanaghostishere ;)
"No I did not know that, very interesting." They continue their walk down the corridor.
hehe ;p
-
I go up behind them and hit them over the back of the head.
-
They both are killed by the deadly blow to the back of the head. The guards that are the door heard the *thudd* and turned to look your way
-
I pull out my bow, aiming at their heads.
-
You pull out your hunters bow and fire 2 quick shots off at their heads. The first guard gets hit square in the face, the second guard dodges the arrow and rushes you. His sword ready to strike.
-
I swing my bow around, hoping to strike the guard in the head with it.
-
The bow clips the guard in the face and knocks him down, dazing him and he drops his sword.
-
I stomp on his neck.
-
The guards neck snaps under your foot and las there lifeless. You walk up to the throne room doors, you can't hear anything going on inside. You open one of the doors slowly to peak inside. You can see Celdamor looking out a window, it overseas the courtyard of the castle.
-
I walk in, activate my power over health to see if it's really him and not an illusion, and kneel, waiting for his response.
-
He turns around and takes a seat at his throne. "I know who you are, you are the Orc that we took into our stronghold. You have killed many of my guards, who sent you here?"
-
Your fool of a brother did. He gave me such glorious powers, but he chose wrong. I know he is weak, and I came to speak with you. You are clearly not a man to be persuaded by fine words, but by actions. I have proven myself to be more powerful than your guards, so I hope that that will be enough for you to hear me out.
-
"Of course I will hear you out, I respect a man who will fight for what he believes in. How can I not hear what you have to say, you have shown great fighting skills. I would love to have a warrior like you by my side. I will answer any questions you have. But you say my brother sent you..? I saw him get ripped apart by the army of darkness.."
-
I saw him, weakened beyond all belief. He was a shadow of his former self, quite sad, really. He actually believes that I will help him defeat you. I want nothing of the sort. My people were once a great race, but are now scattered between the two sides. I wish to bring them to their former glory. If your fool of a brother could give me this much power, I know that you can do even more. I will build a great city, and the orcs will be both powerful and in your debt. I think we both gain much from such an arrangement.

Edited by GramOfJolly: 10/29/2014 7:40:46 PM"Is that what he told you? First of all, I gave you those powers, a scaled down version of your true potential. I hope you understand, I needed to make sure you were the right one. I couldn't give you full reign just incase you were corrupted by the darkness. Also, what my brother said about your Orcen brethren is beyond false. They were situated in the middle of the great battle that happened, I went to go save them. I gave them refugee in a village just over the mountain, far away from the evil. Your people were being used as sacrifices and slaves. I have many soldiers of Orc descent. Lastly, I do not believe that you spoke with my brother. For I have seen him been ripped apart, he was in possession of the Ring of Vandover, he had cast a powerful spell that would have eradicated all the darkness but he was silenced by The Lord of Darkness. He was left paralyzed and left for dead. I fended off the undead and came to his aid. I took the ring off Geldamor and put it on. I tried to revive him, I gave it al the power I had but was unsuccessful. I had to flee, the darkness was closing in on my position. This person you talked to, I fear, is The Lord of Darkness himself. Which puts me uneasy. For I can feel a great battle coming, so I'll need all the help I can get. I will lead you to your people, I will aid you in anyway I can. I will give you your full range of spells, if you stand by my side in this great battle that will come. I fear this battle will completely destroy the lad that I have helped build. We need to avenge my brother. Do I have your hand, great Alvaroth?"
