Petition~next event gear 30 light
I love destiny, but sadly the iron banner was a pure let down on a few fronts.
First off while I enjoyed playing high lvl players, I sadly didnt feel the lvl omnipotence that would have made the event more challenging as well as rewarding were I to take down one of the behemoths.
Secondly, the information about the event was kinda scarce until launch, and I personally didnt learn that the gear was no different in terms of light then what I already had on until I was 75% to rank 2.
Thirdly, there are a large amount of people who because of schedules, irl situations, babies, etc, do not have either the drive, time, or overall energy to focus on a raid, there should be a raid alternative for those that cannot or simply do not want to raid.
So what this petition proposes is a raid alternative to reach lvl 30 through an event. You bungie/activision would not need to change your next event`s core, merely the reward values of the gear acquired in that event, and if you feel like using a past event in which there is a rep bar, in the spirit of the hunt, this petition also proposes the wiping of past rep in trade for your cooperation with this petition, after all for any relationship to work there must be an equivalent exchange.

1 ReplyCrusible 30 gear on EASY= win 4 rounds of control without caping flags Crusible 30 gear on HARD= win 4 round and have all flags caped the entire round. Just a example, but you would have to be a full fireteam to pull this off, and everyone somewhat good at PvP. Imagine that Guardian Exoclast, with it you can attack guardians doing patrol, and steal all their gear.

No. You can reach 29 without raid gear and that's good enough. People shouldn't be able to get equal gear to the other people who actually put in the time.

1 ReplyI could care less about being level 30 but I do think there should be some decent Crucible rewards. Not random drops but given for reaching a certain rank or total points. I think the Mythoclast is a good example. PVE players are complaining that due to the difficulty in attaining the weapon it should be more powerful. That's fine. Then there should be an equivalent weapon attainable through PVP. Then both groups can have a chance at getting amazing weaponry. To all raid players about to assert that the raid requires more skill than grinding out Crucible points it takes zero skill and 5 minutes to take someone's Hard Mode checkpoint and cheese Atheon. This is where a growing proportion of the raid gear is coming from.

Who knows, maybe The Trials of Osiris will have something along those lines, I mean it's going to be including an exotic emblem so I guess more 30 light gear wouldn't be that insane.

I don't agree because all events to this date are easy to get. Should get you to 28-29. But you must do raid to get 30.

i was really let down aswell when iron banner armor didnt reach light +30 everyone says they care about crucible more clearly they dont can they at least patch iron banner armor so it reach light plus 30

I don't agree, I think it should be Raid specific otherwise you make the Raid pointless, I've got 2 pieces and I'm waiting for my final piece, it's the sole reason I'm still running the Raid. I don't get the whole rush by people to get to 30, next DLC isn't even out until December where level 30 will probably be needed.

1 ReplyThere should be something to at least be crusible level 30. IB and Eye of osiris, pvp events where level matters. So yeah, give us the option to become 30 doing multiplayer, what many of us are here for. Singelplayer co-op is just not fun anymore. The Raid was ok the two first times.. now it feels like going to work.

Couldn't care less about light levels on gear, I just want more unique looking gear. Aside from exotics and raid gear, everything looks the same, it's pretty sad really considering the time and money they had to create this game.

1 ReplyI agree that there should be other ways to get to 30, but not from one weekly event. Maybe the weekly could provide a single piece that can get to 30. And a different piece in another... And so on and so on...

2 RepliesIt's not supposed to be easy to reach level 30. It's supposed to reward players who put in the time and effort to get there. It's really not that hard. I have college full time and I've found the time to reach level 29 already.

These corporations don't give a toss what we think. If they did we'd be playing a very different game and there'd be less animosity in the forums.

I have plenty to do these days. Many obligations with school and work and such an sitting down for hours to do one raid seems tedious and annoying. I'm sure most people will agree that there's too much going on to sit around attempting to do a raid for 2.5 hours. Now some people are going to say it doesn't take that long but I've never done a raid before and I'm sure I would do it with other inexperienced people which would definitely take time. Also for all the people who are going to say 2.5 hours isn't that long...its long as -blam!-. To be doing one thing, focused on a screen for that long is tedious. I hope no one cries about this post

Sorry mate completely disagree with everything accept for iron banner being a let down. If you can't do raids then there is no need for you to be level 30 besides the fact that you hit level 30. Think about the many hours most people spend raiding to get 30 then you have the option to do an event that gives you 30 on a silver platter. It just won't happen because it would defeat the purpose of raiding and would definitely kill off any hardcore players. Do you really want to trust Bungie with an event after the last two? One was just a reskin of the same old missions with a different rep to grind and the other was a reskin of the same old crucible but just promised heaps of things that they didn't deliver on. The raid really doesn't take that long. Should take 60-90 minutes tops with a good group. I had a hard mode team that did it in 90 minutes today. Just look up some YouTube strats and you will be set. If you are playing a game, want too end gear and posting in its forums you spend more than a few hours a week on it. Ample time to raid and get gear instead of ask for handouts don't you think?

Did I earn them by getting to rank 3 in iron banner? Sure as hell. My hope was that the iron banner reward system would give a piece of raid equivalent gear per event. Even if they hold them quarterly and wipe the reputation, that's 9 months for something that *can* be done in one. Edit: don't get it twisted. I think it should still be costly...say charge 100 crucible marks for that piece of gear. I would feel this would be closer to "earning" level 30, considering that as it stands...you could have, at most, 21 complete and meaningful runs? 168 chest pulls and boss kills? 336 total if you had been able to have three raid ready toons for hard mode? Each and every single one of those times you were still blessed by RNG. I hate to say it but there's no difference between you pulling a price of gear and someone filling in a vacant spot and porting to the party 10 seconds before the boss fight is over, as far as RNG is concerned. Im not saying that you individually, reader, freeloaded and chumped your way to level 30. Im sure you actively participated in the raid and did your job. However, grinding to rank 3 in iron banner, and only gaining reputation from bounties and wins? At the least, that should be considered as much work as raiding 6x weekly. Also, before anyone states the obvious, yes, I have yet to get a character to 30. Ive been distracted by gear that I felt was better than currently equipped and figured better to drop a light level now where it doesn't matter as much versus later. Also, last raid I completed I got 2 exotic weapons (mida multi tool and universal remote) and three legendary weapons (epilogue, the shotgun, and the rocket launcher). Can't pull gear for the death of me though. Sorry for the ramble.

I don't understand why people keep asking for handouts with this game,level 30 is meant to be max level end game and the game is meant to be challenging,so of course the only way your gona get there is hard work. I mean come on "annoying" and "tedious" no your just lazy the raids been out for ages now all it takes is like 1-3hours if you haven't done it before less if your team is good,if you can't sit there for that amount of time go play something else. I've been on 29 for ages it doesn't bother me I'm not 30 I've done the raid and had fun,I find it really easy to,30 is just a number really it's just there for raiding on hard anyway so why ask for a handout when it takes maybe 3 hours a week if that's all you play for? Like seriously people bitch about anything with this game

No. 30 is for the people who put in the time to achieve it. Everything else in this game is entirely "doable" at 29. To give out "welfare" items for people who either can't or won't put in the time, is like spitting in the face of the ones who actually put in the "hard work" or time to get there.
