Yea they should get crits. But actually I think there is a hidden crit with the golden gun. Not for bosses, but for trash mobs.
When I do the raid on hard, I can only kill hobgoblins in one shot if I shoot them in their weak spot. I have to shoot twice if I miss the weak spot. Apparently there's a damage boost in there somehow, but it doesn't show in yellow numbers. However when you shoot a boss with golden gun it doesn't matter where you shoot. Makes no sense to me

maybe it's because you should shoot the mobs instead the boss with it ? ;)

It might just be range, golden gun has reduced damage over range just like a normal gun

No cuz it works the same way with supplicants. No matter what range.

This. During the Atheon fight since I didn't have a mic I was normally told to stay and take out Supplicants. Since I still had a super from Time's Vengeance, I decided why not? I popped the super and, as I've trained myself to do over the years, hit the weak spot no matter what. I hit the first two supplicants right in their eye. They blew up. The last supplicant, however, bum rushed me and I panicked a little and whipped a little too far and missed his eye. He didn't blow up. Of course I shot him again with my Hand Cannon and he did die but the first two died from the eye shot with Golden Gun, where as the last stayed alive from not being hit in the weak spot. So as a Hunter using Golden Gun (only during the Atheon fight) I can either go through the time stream and take out 3 Oracles (or four with the Exotic helmet I don't have yet) with one shot, or take out 3 of the 12 supplicants that spawn.

How bizarre. I've never experienced that but I'll make sure to look out for it.

This is only for level 29 tho. Once you're level 30 you can one shot them with golden gun no matter where you shoot them.
