Were they "idlers" or just didn't want to fly through the strike as fast as you? I had a random strike group the other day in the cosmodrone, and out of the three of us, the hunter took off right away on their sparrow, while the warlock wanted to go on foot. I decided to go with the warlock. We found some chests and got some engrams on the way, but the hunter had already started the first event and got killed. So we ended up having to spawn up ahead. That hunter was shit. They kept dying, and even though we revived them a lot, that hunter never bothered to help us when the warlock went down or I went down. Worst teammate I have encounetered, and I reported them for being an very unhelpful or whatever that option is. They had the worst K/D in the match, most deaths, and least amount of assists or revives. I actually was 3 kills shy of doubling their kills.
So be careful in assuming people are idlers, maybe they don't want to skip large sections and want to go throught he strikes start to finish. I used to fly through strikes, but some people want to kill everything on their way through and try to get better gear through engrams, and I see nothing wrong with that.

Go to patrol if you wanna hunt chests and kill low lvl enemies. This is strike and it doesnt start untill you get to the respawn restricted area. Why waste your time or someone elses, its a strike playlist for a reason

I'm not going to rush someone else because I am impatient. Strikes can and will be long sometimes, so I won't start one unless I have the time. It's not farming, it's killing shit on your way from point a to b. Go as fast as the slowest person. It's a strike, not a story mission.

Not attacking you mate but i just think your wasting a lot of peoples time by taking out lower level dudes that give you next to nothing when you should be getting down to business.

You never got good engrams from lower level enemies?

Green or blue. Pretty much worthless and lvling your cryptarch gets ya nothing these days. Blues blues blues. Ive got legendary from the doing the strike though

I get that from most 28 strikes as well. I haven't noticed much of a difference, other than one legendary from an 8 and got two ascendent energies.

I do the same and like to look around and collect stuff during my strike its always the guy who runs through and gets killed pulls us through and leave.... But the worst are the worst plates always get the exotic engram Example PvP guy joins at the end of the game and gets the hard light...... WTF BUNGIE??? NOT ONLY THAT HE ONLY HAD 1000 GLIMORE SCORE not fair bungie 😭😭😭😭😭😖😖😖
