This is the normal way of dealing after killing Atheon. There isnt a rewards screen to go to. The only loot you get from the bosses are the two check points per boss. After beating the conflux part of Atheon you get a checkpoint plus loot. Then the second loot round is right after beating him.

So if the timer runs out, what are you supposed to do if you're dead after Atheon is killed? You can't be revived at that point, and from the accounts of my team they couldn't return to orbit. Are you awarded the loot as soon as Atheon is dead, because if so, we didn't get anything, even though we got the notification for receiving items

Edited by P man rockzilla: 10/21/2014 1:11:16 PMThe fireteam leader can still send the entire party to orbit. and if remember correctly (havent got loot in a week or two) you should be able to equip it right away with no problem. Once you see you have been rewarded, then you should have it in your inventory

That's what he did. We all went into orbit, but none of us got rewarded.
