I hate to break it to you, but if one person is outside the darkness zone and the others inside die and "darkness consumes you" comes up, it doesn't actually count as a death for the guy outside. Because they didn't die. I've had people run ahead and died before I got there yet still got the bounty when we finished it. They may have been stupid and unsportsmanlike, but you didn't screw them over

This has happened to me when me and two mates rushing around getting things done quick, he ran into me after in a cave after i said there was a chest in here - splat dead- now we always try kill each other with sparrows :)

Yes but they thought he did which is all that matters when it comes to idlers.

Haha yes, true. It's a shame they don't just put something like the raid in for an idle timer to kick people out of strikes too. Problem 90% solved for afkers

This. I've previously been annoyed thinking it counted as a death because one guy flew off ahead in a strike, but we continued anyway and it didn't count as a death.
