Let's be realistic..

I am sick and tired of people complaining about the blade dancer super. Really? I see titans smash a team of 6 with ONE single blow, and they also have crazy amounts of shields when doing such move; Compared to the blade dancer which is easily killed when using the super, and can kill about four enemies tops. (If the shooter is lucky, you can die like it's nothing from a couple fusion rifle bursts.) Seriously. All supers one hit kill. Even the warlock can destroy a whole team with that purple blast. As an avid hunter player, i will lose my shit if you nerf my favorite subclass. I WILL quit this game if you do nerf it. BLADEDANCER SUCKS IN PVE AS IT IS, Don't make it worse just because pvp players LOVE to complain. These forums give me a headache. I am eager to see all the hateful comments coming my way because of an opinion. If you have something to say of the matter, i'd like to hear it. rant over. Edit:* thanks for the support. It is much appreciated. I'm glad there aren't as many trolls as i expected.

  • I am a warlock, and I have encounter the blade dancer several times in pvp, personally I think they should get a shield boost when they use their super. They die way to quick and it is unfair for them.

    • The only super I wish would be changed is the defender. It makes me sad when I get destroyed by most other supers. But blade dancer is fine in pvp as is. And it balances because it is hard to use in PvE.

    • I just think people need to quit bitching, they get their super, so what get yours. You're over reacting, it's like any other game with kill streaks. They just make it to where everyone can get them at some point in the game so it's a fair fight, all you have to do against the blade dancer is jump up in the air high enough, you're going to die regardless of any other super it's not only the blade dancer, it gets annoying because you see it coming and you still can't kill them while the others kill you unexpectedly, except sunsinger and gunslinger. That's why it's annoying so just get over the fact that you are going to die, it happens.

      • i agree with everything besides "blade dancer (...) is easily killed when using the super" if you can't be shot with half of machine gun magazine it's not "being easy to kill"

        • [spoiler] Bladedancer has the best chance of killing the most players in a single run. Not often do you find groups clump together in a tight radius [i](an easy striker kill)[/i]. Usually the case is a two players close together and a few more in nearby rooms. An experienced Bladedancer can reach all those players in a single run. [/spoiler] [b]Striker[/b]- Instant death to the immediate area [b]Voidwalker[/b]- avoidable death to a selected area [b]Gunslinger[/b]- select 3-4 people you want to die. [b]Bladedancer[/b]- possibly bring death to a chain of targets, hope they all keep coming one at a time. [b]Sunsinger[/b]- Toss grenades and hope you hit someone, easy to die from anything during super. [b]Defender[/b]- certain death to those who enter... which is the chance of a fool... on a rainy day.

            Im getting tired of this i should just post the link to my video... butbi can't! If something should be nerfed than its the exotic helm for the hunter not the super itself, with every attack you discrease the duration of the super... And as hunter you have a choice between health recovery triggers after a kill or the duration got increased after a kill...if you choose the longer duration your blink strike (hunter melee attack) loses also the abilty to trigger health recovery after a kill... And the humter cant be build with perks to get high armory and recovery such as titan and warlock...and recovery is the most important stat in pvp... I know what im talkin about i got a 29 hunter,28 warlock and 27 titan and they are all just build for pvp. The only subclass that should be nerfed is the sunsingers melee attack its too effective with a shotgun, you just have to shoot him first and then melee your enemy with your insane range and get a shield for just melee him once and not killing him as the other subclasses have to do...and you can focus on your next target with an extra shield. At least every class got her benefits but i think the melee of the sunsinger should be changed to get the shield only for a kill as the defender titan gets it with a shorter range with his melee...           • In reality though it is pretty OP, But so is the golden gun and the titan smash thing. But those aren't great in pve. In the end, supers are what make destiny feel different from other FPS. If people don't like them then they can stay out of PVP. Now if they nerf my fireborn in PVE then I'm definitely going to be upset.

              What makes the bladedancer (or bellydancer as I like to call them) so powerful Isn't the special itself. It's that you get a third person view the entire time. It allows a certain kind of advantage that none of the other supers have. The rest of the supers go third person but are instant you don't stay third. I've seen the kill log rack upwards of 5-7 bellydancer kills and not all at once. I've tried to run and it never works I just end up dying tired. I would be able to run away if it wasn't third person as I could jump and get behind a corner and hop around some ledges. This would also force a chase and use up more of the specials duration. Taking the special from third to first would not be a serious NERF. Would anyone think that as long as ward of dawn wan was active the TITAN got to go third person Or while the sun dancer was all glowing that was third person would that be over powered. I think I've made my point.

              • The only problem I see with the Hunters supers us this. When a titan or warlock use their super, they have to commit. If they wipe out a team or only get one kill it's because they committed. A hunter has time to use the golden gun, time to pick targets and maximize it's effectiveness. Same with the blade dancer. Until they're killed or the super runs out, they still have time to maximize it's potential. Hunters definitely don't need a nerf in PvE. But as far as pvp maybe a shorter time limit. That's all. They should one hit kill, every time. But they need a shorter time limit. That's my opinion anyway. No hate here, I don't play pvp much anyhow lol

                    • As a Titan, I rarely see a team of six together when my super is ready. As a Warlock same deal, But I don't play Voidwalker in PvP anymore.

                        • First of havoc and Nova Bomb average less kills than golden gun and arc blade. Therefore, golden gun and arc blade are better.

                          • People need to stop looking at it as 'this super vs. that super' and start looking at the classes as a whole (grenade, melee, and super). When you start factoring in the weaker grenades and melee attack, the Arc Blade super should be able to kill more than the other other classes that have useful grenades and melee abilities.

                              As a player who doesn't use hunters, I've gotta say: Please don't make that bladedancer thing (or the golden gun) any less horrifying than it is. It's the [b]only[/b] stuff in PvP that ever made me desperate to get away from it. Having that knife-wielding hunter stuck to me like glue even when I used the fly-away-home escape Lift was immersive as hell. Knowing that if I can just stay alive/mobile/unpredictable for a critical few seconds, I might have a chance to fight back and blow that Hunters adrenaline rush back down their veins is [i]awesome[/i]. Please leave it alone.

                            • A super should be Overpowered. That is intended to be. But, the Supers should be balanced. And the Bladedancer is defenetly not Balanced at all. Sorry to say, but an Super that onehits everyone and teleports while attaking and lasting long egnouf to run over the map once without killing someone? And in addition giving a hell of dmg reduce? Lets compare to other Supers: Gunslinger 3 shot = 3 kills (evt 4-5 with the right luck and EQ) duration about 12 seconds? no dmg income reduce Sunsinger so kill posibility Duration: 10 seconds Effect: more granades more meele resurect Striker: Kill = max 6 if the enemy team is dump egnouf to stand on one spot and is not able to kill an incoming titan (gg team) Duration = 1 second dmg reduce = only 1 second Voidwalker 50% dmg reduce while in midar using the super throwing the super a freaking lage distance. killing all enemys within its explosion radius. Deffender: Do I even need to descripe this? However, in the end The only way to stop an Bladedancers super is to shotgun him when he is killing me. or shooting using my super if it even can kill him. My Warlock and my titan are dying after just one brust of a fusion rifle even when im in my super. And u are posting this? "(If lucky, you can die like it's nothing from a couple fusion rifle bursts.)" Holy shit, that u can survife even one burst is something. The bladedancer Super is so most powerfull Super in PVP. It is Inbalanced and it needs a nerf. for example no dmg reduce (that would break PVE), OR no Teleporting AND less time in the super(Would work fine in PVE and PVP).

                              • When do titans ever get the opportunity to destroy a team of six lol? And you're saying bladedancer doesn't give you damage resistance? The Hunter has he best supers by far because of its lethality and control. Titans have to get super close first then use their wildly inaccurate super that has a laughable range if not upgraded. Bladedancer is borderline overpowered but it just may seem that way to me because there are soooooo many hunters.

                                • Ok take a look, Titan super / warlock bomb , 1-2 kills on average unless hitting a control point and getting lucky , unless you're a bad blade dancer if you average less than 2-3 kills regardless of situation and location . You just aren't paying attention lol. Blade dancers issues are over compensating auto targeting and too much damage mitigation while in arc blade mode

                                  • I totally agree. The supers are supposed to be OP so stop complaining. People should also realize that even when using blade dancer, your special is still a one hit kill. If a blade dance is hit with fist of havoc the hunter dies not the titan. same goes for the nova bomb vs arc blade. some specials are better when used against certain other specials. Examples(to name a few of many): arc blade beats ward of dawn fist of havoc beats arc blade golden gun ties nova bomb cause your probably both gonna die

                                    • All supers can be countered if you get the chance, and you are right they should not nerf any supers if anything buff them all just a bit so they really are supers. Supers should be the only thing to stop a super i am a titan and have stopped blade dancer with my auto rifle so who is crying about op.
