Are the VOG reward mechanics broken?
First off I want to give my condolences to those still grinding for their first piece of gear.
I'm not here to whine, so please hear me out. Honestly I've been VERY VERY lucky when it comes to getting weapons and armor from the RAID as well as in the story, weekly's, daily's, and nightfall. I have more than enough of each armor type to get me to lvl 30 and to top it off I only have one character. Last night I got an invite to help someone at the last 2 checkpoints in the VOG. After killing Atheon my reward was an XV0 "Timebreaker" and 2 Battlecage of Kabr RAID helmets. Really 2 helmets?! One guy in the group was cheering because he just got his first piece of gear. The reward mechanics are far to random. No one should get two pieces of the same gear **AT ONE CHECKPOINT**. Someone else should have received that second helmet if not both of those helmets (since I already had it). I get it and I have no complaints getting extra raid gear, but 2 at one checkpoint is a little much.

1 ReplyYes it's broken. Bungie needs to fix this shit. People should not have to spend months to get raid armor but it's already happening. Month one passed and my friend hasn't gotten any. Even though I got some on my first and second attempts at the VoG, I haven't received any since. I'm sick of Bungie's everyone should and will spend their lives grinding for rewards attitude. I don't care if that's how MMOs are. Destiny was suppose to be different than the other games and even though it is, it still isn't. Grinding kills video games and makes the players look for games that are better rewarding for the time they put in.

1 ReplyI've been rewarded chatter white shaders twice for each of the two raids I've completed. Would love bungie to fix this so no reward gets repeated.
