I think these only get better as you raise your Vanguard/Faction level...I've seen a few coins and motes dropping randomly on my farming runs lately.

Yeah. I picked up 2 motes out of a single chest on the Mars run and pulled two coins out of the low level strike on Earth, then got 3 more coins when I did the Weekly with DZIM and Kestrel
