If it's anything about buying Motes and Strange Coins then it needs to be something like:
3 Strange Coins for 1 Mote of Light OR
3 Motes of Light for 1 Strange Coin
It's way too easy to make Glimmer.

Why not make the 50 material voucher from the Vangaurd robot turn into "50 (insert material type) for 1 strange coin) then people would have to patrol way more often if they wanted to get more coins/notes of light.

Make it 65 of any non-weapon/armor degrade material for 1 coin and I like it.

3 coins to 1 mote isnt a perfect way to do it, since coins are worth far more then a mote (since you earn motes just by levelling past 20)

BUT to buy a cape or exotic Engram it costs 23-25 motes and the class item has no perks but with coins for 13 you can get exotic armour. Motes seem to carry a heavier weight for not giving you any perks.

The exotic engram is worth that much BECAUSE they are easier to get (as well as potentially giving you ANY armour of that slot, not just the stuff xur sells). Imagine how many engrams people would buy each week if they cost 13 too? I dunno about you, but last week i earnt a strong 38 motes of light alone.

If you want a convertion system what about 1 mote + 2k glimmer = 1 coin? 3 of anything useful is way more useful than 1 of anything useful.

That would work to, as long as it's just not straight Glimmer for Motes and Coins.

I actually just found out you can level to earn motes so it isn't luck + people only at 20 can earn them. Would be an interesting system. Also someone above said 50 of a material for coin, 50 is slightly too small but I like that too. Buy why not glimmer to get them if the cost is high enough?

Because Glimmer is way too easy to get, especially if you know what mobs you're going to be fighting and have the consumables.

How much glimmer do you earn in 5 hours?

If I'm trying, cap easy. If you know a spot were majors spawn repeatedly, it's even easier.
