Sounds like this is tied to having multiple bounties active at once, if that isn't the case and you're seeing this, let us know by replying here!

I too have the same issue can not hand in the vanguard mentor missive exotic bounty on my hunter

I have exactly one exotic bounty, haven't played since until recently (right after patch 2.0 hit), I can't do anything with the Vanguard Mentor Missive Bounty. It tells me to go to Xander but he doesn't do anything.

Same issue after latest update the three open exotic bounties completed and i still have one missive bounty left that i can not turn in please help!!!

I currently have 3 Exotic Weapon Bounties (Thorn, Invective, and Bad Juju) and a Vanguard Mentor Missive which I can not turn in to Xander 99-40. I believe the issue is showing up because when you turn in the missive, it chooses a random group of bounties with 3 for you to choose from. If you already have all 3 that it would originally present you with, it does nothing because you can't have 2 of the same Exotic Weapon Bounty. Bungie, I don't know how this hasn't been fixed yet! Possible Fixes for BUNGIE: Allow Vanguard Mentor Missives to be stored in the Vault so players can save them for later or give them to another character. Check which Exotic Bounties players currently have active before choosing which bounties are available to pick from and don't allow any of the already active ones to be selected from. Possible Fixes for YOU the Player: Finish one of your currently active Exotic bounties, obtain the reward weapon and then try to turn in the Missive. Come on Bungie, stop your slacking asses and fix this crap.

I have had 4 exotics in my list since I never do the crucible bounties but keep them anyway. I completed two exotics while also having 3 others active so its not a problem with having multiple exotic bounties. I did notice the bounty back ground when highlighted is white instead of green like other exotic bounties

same problem exactly with my mentor missive bounty... just cant give it to xander 99-40

Also having this issue. Same as everyone else, it would be my 4th exotic weapon bounty, so the missive is just sitting in my bounty list

I was given a vanguard mentor missive bounty by Eris, I can't turn it in to Xander. I have three active exotic bounties.

I just encountered this as well and my guess is it has to do with the missives being predetermined and I must already have an active bounty for the new one it wants to give me (I have 3 active exotic bounties right now). I should note that the last two times I have gotten an exotic bounty there were no options given between 3 possible bounties, I only had one option. I could be wrong but that seems like a big flaw/bug. Shouldn't you be able to chose between 3 or at least be given a bounty you don't already have or had previously completed? I still have yet to see the bounty for the Super Good Advice and I have gotten 2 of the bounties twice already and I doubt I will get it with this newest missive since if the bug is related to already having that bounty active I still won't be given a chance at SGA. Thank you in advance for continuing to look into this. I know this original post is old. Should you need it. I am on Xbox360 and my GT is EpicTuque.

Have this problem as well... Have 3 bounties already in my bounty slots 2 ready to turn in: SGA and Bad Juju and one I'm working on: Pocket Infinity, turned in a few vanguard bounties and ended up with a mentor missive in my bounty slot.... Any solutions?
