Day 3 report: Completed 6 public events. Zero rewards from all 6 with gold tier completion.

Took 43 events til I earned 2 energies. We're currently back to 21 with nothing. They claim experience and drops but I don't need green engrams. This is just me.

All rng bud, most effective way if not doing nightfall/raid is to max both types if mark and buy chest pieces from the faction vendor to break for shards.

Day 4 report: completed 2 public events. Got nothing. Decided to create a new character. Played 2 public events. Got 2 shards. From from each! Law of averages suggests there is definitely a cap per week on material rewards.

Interesting if there is a capped limit, there isnt enough data to suggest there is a cap, you would needs tons of more data to come to that conclusion.

I complete 20 events on gold over 3 days and get absolutely nothing. Then set up a new character, complete 2 and both are immediately rewarded with material rewards and you don't spot a correlation?

Here are my current findings. Last week (before 10am on Tue (weekly reset)) I completed 32 gold events and received zero material rewards. After Tuesday's weekly reset I completed two yesterday. Received zero on first go. Received 1 shard on the second event. Success. That is 1 shard out of 34 events which is suspiciously currently 50% of events after the reset. I will try and complete more and confirm when they appear to dry up again. My suspicion is when 100 vanguard marks are acquired the material rewards will also cease. Not sure if this is intentional or a bug. Can someone confirm please?! Stats to follow...

Situation report. Surprise surprise. Material rewards from completing gold public events completely stopped immediately after maxing vanguard weekly marks (100). Can any one help me with these 3 questions please? 1. Can anyone confirm they have received a material reward from a gold public event after maxing vanguard marks for the week? 2. Does anyone know if this is intentional? 3. Is this a bug? Bungie - yes or no? I understand and agree the reward system is random but the laws of averages do not lie. Last 2 weeks running, getting material rewards until vanguard maxed then immediately stopped. My assumption is that the reward / allocation process is related to the vanguard mark assignment to the character. If it is maxed it doesn't assign marks and then stops rewarding materials as well. Thanks.

I got a shard from a public event yesterday, marks been capped since Saturday.

I still get ascendant energy. No shards though. But I get a message on screen saying "Mordhechai received ascendant shard", but I don't receive it. It looks like only shards are tied into Weekly Vanguard Marks, not Energies.

Every week. Without fail. As soon as vanguard marks are full I stop receiving material rewards from Public events. I have no evidence to say this is only limited to shards. I only have evidence to say it is limited to everything.

I got shard from a public event last night on the way to a tiger strike. I had already earned all my vanguard marks.

Ok. That is interesting. Are you 100% sure? If so... my suspicion is wrong.

I am sure it was after my marks but not before I left the playlist. If that makes sense.
