(Edited) Absolute proof Iron Banner is complete bullsh*t!
I was making a new warlock and got through the 4th mission or so. I was level 4 with my friends who are all high level like my main. I decided to test Iron Banner because last night I really didn't see much of a difference playing with my lvl 30, it felt like regular crucible. So I joined up with my friends to play some Iron Banner. I was expecting to walk in and get one shotted with an ankle shot, instead I was baffled at what happened. Watch the video, and let me know what you think.

It is a bit of a pain. My biggest concern really is the Experience Gain/Reward's with iron Banner. It is too much of a grind. Worse still, if you lose, you get Sweet F.A. Not good. Iron Banner is not even worth playing :(

On B flag you had a leveled Warlock (sometimes two) assisting you, so I would rather see gameplay of you soloing people - if you want to make this claim. Tons of your "kills" are assists, but you have at least two team mates giving you support for almost every kill you get. The last kill you got you were alone, but went though an entire clip on him and had to switch to a fusion rifle to finish off the last half of his red health bar.

The thread starter even went as far as entering with low level gear, gun, everything to explain his point. It isn't that they aren't able to one-shot people and have an automatic win from the start of the match, it is that IB was announced as "this exciting mode" where there is no level playing field, and yet when you get in it, it plays just like a level-playing-field map. Making the announcement a lie, unless someone can explain how someone at level 28 with likewise matching legendary can make and take round about the same damage as a level 5 with starter gear. ALTHOUGH, if you review the video carefully, it does look like it took the OP a significant amount of bullets to bring someone down as opposed to when he died or almost died. So it seems like it really isn't "the same damage" therefore not a lie. As far as score success, the warlock had a lot of cover through the match.

3 Repliesone of the main problems i keep runnin in to is being 1 hit meleed with full shield and health but when i melee they get taken down to like 20% health. another thing is i have invective and i keep gettin 1 shotted with a blue shotgun carried by a level 10 no matter how close i get with invective i still have to put 2-3 slugs in people

Just created a new Warlock and played Iron Banner as a level 4 using the base auto rifle (20 damage). I played around five matches, but only two complete. I do not play PVP at all. I was surprised that I won about 30-40% of one on one gunfights with level 27-30 players. As long as I aimed for the head and moved side to side, I stood a fair chance to win. This is comical. I was laughing when I would put down a level 29 or 30 in a fair gunfight. That should not happen. Granted, I died a lot...but it was pretty fun! Actually won two games and my last one I came in mid pack. I think I might play a little more for kicks. No armor, no abilities, and the lowest level auto rifle in the game...still had fun. :)

If levels mattered more, it would be interesting to have matches with small teams of high level players vs full teams of lower level players. For example, three 28's. Vs. six 20-26.

2 RepliesThink of iron banner as ranked play. You get rewarded with rep(which leads to sweet gear) for winning and being skilled. You should probably find a party to join if your tired of randoms. If everybody got rep and gear everybody will be the same in 2 weeks when the event ends. It's is set up so not everyone will max out their rep and gains. It creates diversity in the game and sets it up so that you will want to participate in the next event instead of maxing it out and then putting the controller Down. You want content and gear but you also want it all right now and then complain thatchers nothing to do. Pick one.

I agree there is something wrong here. If I shoot a titan with max toughness and over 1300 armor twelve times to kill him, any charactercwith less than 500 or 600 should go down just as fast propotionally. I fought a level four last night. Now he did go down faster but no where near as fast as most feel he should have. Over all it feels like they carebeared iron banner a little to much.
