This is proof that they planned on creating DLC early on in development, however this doesn't prove that the DLC is on the disc.

  • What game *doesnt* plan on creating DLC early in development? BRB to complain about BL. I hear their season pass will cover 4 announced DLCs. This obviously means they are already planning on and most likely working on the first DLC.

  • Does borderlands already have all the areas finished in the game? Lol I doubt it.

  • Maybe you initially hit reply on the wrong post? This whole reply tangent has specifically been about DLC creation taking place early in development.

  • Well no not really. You made the comment about Borderlands having pre planned dlc. I just made a factual statement saying that BL had more than 26 missions. I guess my point was BL shipped with more content, a full game if you will. Nobody is going to complain about the lack of content, but if they wanted to complain on the quality that's their call. If you are going to work on DLC before release, at least ship the game in its full state. Another example is Dark Souls 2... They said they didn't plan to release DLC for the game.... then like 3 weeks later announced a trilogy. They were obviously working on DLC before the game shipped, and even though they lied nobody complained because the base game felt complete..... Summery: Complete your games before working on DLC (doubt this will apply to any of us lol)

Well your initial point (even if I don't agree with it ) wasn't very clear :P I have already completed the first playthrough of BL:tPS..while playing Destiny on the side. I dont see me putting 30-40 hours of gameplay a week into BL:tPS for a month like I did with Destiny. I still really like the game, though. And it will get a bunch of my time. EDIT: Destiny has 25 "missions" (included story missions and strikes here, not counting the raid). Many on the BL side are optional missions that up its count are fluff things on par with doing bounties in Destiny. "hey, run over here and kill some mobs..and get their drops!"

  • Well actually (from what I read) the PS3/4 people got an extra strike (imma 360/one kind of person) so I included that in the count. Also I wouldn't compare BL side quests to the bounties seeing as they have separate stories to each one. I would compare BL'S challenge/badass system to Destinies bounties, that's pretty much bar for bar. I clocked in a lot of hours for Destiny and some of them were fun, some of them were grindy, some of them were just frustrating. But me clocking hours is true, so they must have done something right. Even though I've only reached lvl 29 I'm done with this game til December. I don't desire to start more characters, I don't really care to get raid gear just to be the best and get Nerfed later down the line. I don't agree with the RNG system. The "events" are more of the same.... Now in that light Borderlands can get dull sometimes, but as an overall game, I like the system better. If I want to get a certain gun, I know what boss I have to kill and farm to get it. Destiny feels like a job to me. Enter analogy mode!: Go to work and clock in and get the checklist. Is this the beginning of the week? Do the weekly missions. Do the daily mission. Go do one public event. When more workers clock in, go raid (if it's the beginning of the week). Want over time? Knock those bounties out. Still want to work later? Grind vanguard abs Crucible marks. And after all that, you might not even get the gun you want. I'll be back in December like I said just to SEE what they do with the DLC
