Keep the bond! (but add more variety, maybe even allow a separate armor category for exotic class items, and exotics would look even fancier) To be fair, like low-level warlock bonds all being nearly unnoticeable, titans and hunters all have very similar class items until high levels, where they finally start looking unique. Maybe you haven't seen any of the actual good ones (a few rares, and basically all the legendary ones) but warlock bonds include visual effects that go beyond an armband. For example, the queen's bond makes a purple glowy void section over my arm, VERY noticeable, way more than the nightfall buff glowing head. I also have one that displays a system of planets, and one that makes my arm flaming. I've seen many more that I just don't have, but warlock bonds are visual effects that I wish my titan or hunter could have. I think badges and cloaks are lame in comparison (though that one glowing energy titan badge is pretty cool).
