Do we need volume controls? (Please vote and leave a comment)
I would like to adjust the volume in the game like in nearly every game nowadays! Please vote and comment something like: "want volume controls" to spread the message.

I believe it is a necessity for any game to have volume controls built in. Not everyone's ears are the same nor does everyone want to listen to the sound effects which drown out my fire teams voices.

6 RepliesActually the question should be whether we need MUSIC volume controls. I can adjust the general game sound quite well with my surround system or headphones, but I cannot adjust the game vs. music sound levels, which is absolutely annoying: - game music is too loud, often drowning audio cues to enemy positions and movement - I generally dislike music when I am playing. For me it doesn't add to game immersion, it greatly takes away from it. On top of that, for me background music is a constant subliminal stimulus that distracts me, dulls my attention and just makes me play worse. Having music volume controls doesn't exclude anybody from having a gaming experience the way he likes it. Actually not having them does that. Having music volume controls would include those players who do not like music playing in the background. Heck, at the volume Destiny's game music plays, you actually cannot speak of background anymore.

Sometimes I'd just like to listen to "Something... Classical", like that Hunter requests of his Ghost in the live action trailer. But I'd still like to be able to hear the gunfire. And the oracles. And my team. I need to be able to turn the damned music off!

Only because it seems to annoy some. I tend to naturally tune out the music. Others get distracted by it. I must say that when I do notice it it seems to compliment the action quite well.

2 RepliesIm very curious about this sound issue. Is this just console based? Headphone based? Surround sound based or tv based? I have a sound bar that came with my tv. I do not have an overwhelming sound problem where I cant hear a thing. Sound has never been an issue for me since day 1 and none of my friends have any issue. Were all on X1. Just curious, thats all.
