Happens to me every Strike (unless I'm playing with friends). I end the strike with 100+ kills, while JoeSmoeShitHead ends the match with 6 kills and gets the legendary engram.
Not sure if this is correct or not, but I believe the server will autokick people back to orbit if they're inactive for too long. Not sure if that's true or not.

They are quite sly. In most of the cases at the beginning they played as usual, so I have no intention to go the Orbit.

Yes you get sent to orbit for being inactive too long. I think it also does this if you are inactive at the tower as well.

I think this kind of guys know when to press some of the buttons :)

It does. I'll go and take a shit while I'm at the tower and come back to being in orbit.
