It shows absolutely nothing that's not in the game other than the Awoken Prince cut scene. Is this really why you are so upset? I really don't understand why people want 10yrs of content all at once. Also open world is not the same as a sandbox game. Sorry you misunderstood what you were getting.

  • Because we should still get a complete (and meaning full/cohesive) story at release. Story DLC should simply add to a completed story, it should never be part of the main story itself. Which looking at the video of the "leaked DLC locations" it doesn't look like any of the missions there will actually be story heavy. they all have the same symbol as the side-story missions (I.E. they only have a star and not a star with a Laurel in it). I don't give a toss about raids/strikes. So to me this seems like a very shallow game. Repetition is not fun. Grinding is not fun. R.N.G. loot IS NOT FUN. Nor is the lack of different looking loot. the loot designs appear to be on a teir system, rather than there just being a bunch of random designs. And that is very disappointing to me, because now that I have legendary gear, there's no point to loot. and thus that killed the last bit of interest this game had.

I also am pretty sure the Speaker is Evil. Seriously.

  • The place I recall it was the GameSpot interview at E3 2013 with Joe Staten and he referred to being on the planet in the open areas as the "sandbox" which it supposedly is, but does not play as a sandbox with mobs, resource nodes and events and even landing sites being the same every time. Only the chests will occasionally change position but they are also in a predictable rotation.

Could you actually image Destiny as a game like Fallout 3? To me, that would be the ultimate. Pretty much everywhere we saw, we could go. We can only imagine, I guess.

  • True. Hard to do though. Although it would be nice to have areas much larger and more interesting. But time will tell if Bungie can right the ship and plot a better course.

  • I didn't base the entire thread off of the video. Its just one of the sources I drew from. Watch the ViDoc. Read the online articles from game testers pre-release. If you came on here just to tell me your conclusions about the video, then the argument has lost all reason.
