What's one of the most awkward things that have happened to you?
I once tried paying for a 60$ game with loonies and toonies at a store they usually have very little customers at one time. And there were two registers. It almost worked and I had counted most of them and then I turn an there's a line all the way to the end of aisle one...and the other register closed. now I use loonies and toonies to buy gift cards so I can get stuff digitally.
What about you guys? What's something awkward that's happened to you?

4 RepliesI was in a noodle shop and had just ordered my noodles and was just going to wait but the lady wanted to make small talk, she said something and I totally missed what she said, so like an idiot instead of saying "what?" I tried to guess what she said. The "convo" went a little like this. Me: thankyou Lady: so how has your holidays been? Me: takeaway.

3 RepliesA few years back I was at the mall with my mom and sister. They went into a store filled with nothing but stuff for girls so I waited outside for them. I went to go sit at a bench right outside the store. I got my phone out, plugged in my earphones, and started to listen to music as I waited for them to get done. As I was sitting at the bench, this older chick who was probably 17 or 18 came up to me while I was looking the other way. I take my earphones out and she says "Do you need friends?" I didn't know how to react because random people never walk up to me. A few seconds passed and then I finally said "I do have friends" in a somewhat rude way because I was just waiting for my mom and sister to get done so we can go home already. The girl walked away and I still had a surprised look on my face.

I was working at a sales company, calling potential customers. I called a woman's house out of a neighborhood directory, but I got one of her relatives instead. It turns out the woman had died years before. I felt bad. Another time, someone answered the phone and when I gave them my pitch, they said "No thanks, I just found out I have cancer."

I broke my hip in gym class sophomore year of high school I was running and stepped down awkwardly and my femur dislocated and jammed up into the socket of my hip I came back to school 3 weeks later on a walker and every once in a while I'll catch myself limping

My friend gave me $30 for my birthday PLUS Halo Wars. I didn't even know what I should do. There's no way I could give them something equal to what they gave me for their birthday.
