This is a good challenge by the way.

Answer follows: Well, you would get random loot by basically the same process -- grinding and doing missions. Clans need perks and I write that not being part of a big active clan. It doesn't have to be good for me before I support it. I never use pulse rifles but I'm not going to accuse other people of cheating or having an unfair advantage because they have an easier time getting head shots with their pulse rifle than I do with my AR. If this system were in place as we are discussing it you would need to be in a clan to take advantage of it. You can choose to be in a clan or not. Once you forgo that option you cannot complain it is unfair that you don't also get the perks of joining. The only real "advantage" is that a participant would know the item they were getting instead of it being random. Chances are they are putting in more work than a non-participant to get the same tier item. Do you disagree with the gunsmith selling guns? You have to grind and level up to get better equipment from him. Why is it wrong when the gun smith is another player by way of a game AI?
