As a married man I can tell you $60 is far less than the cost of a date night with my wife.
Casual dinner: $30
Two movie tickets: $30
Popcorn and a soda: $10
Babysitter for the two babies: $40
So yeah I've definitely got my money's worth out of this game after a few weeks of casual play.

Amen to that. The babysitter cost modifier is just depressing, it keeps us from going out. When we do go out we have a good time, and then i have to look at what it cost us total and simply cringe and cry inside.

Like I said, casual. You can get some freaking good Mexican food in San Diego for a reasonable price.

$30 for two entrees is for a decent restraunt like olive garden, but when you buy $15 in drinks, or an appetizer, and %18 tip, that $30 is hard to hit.
