I think this story by the Reddit poster is fake. Reply to "Deej, shed some light over here."- ScHeEzY

I just posted this as a reply to ScHeEzy but I thought this really needed to be heard. Original post: I think this story by the Reddit poster is fake. I'm not a very good writer but follow my words and I think you'll see my point. So Bungie has always been fine tuning a list of ideas they've had. Rampancy has been a thing of theirs (Durandal marathon, when cortana went into the first Halo ring). Light and Dark- Myth series (I've never played this) and Destiny (level up by light, you're fighting the darkness). Religious woreshippers that make conflicts (halo covenant, destiny Hive). Etc. So based off their tuning of past ideas, I think the Traveler and the Forerunners are similar. "We have no time to spare, Didact. Every vessel we can fill, we send to the Ark. I dare not cease the mission. Not now, not until I've done all I can. Each one of these souls is finite and precious. " -Librarian, Terminal from Halo 3 That was the Librarian she cared about other life and at least from what I remember, she was fond of humans seeing potential in them. I remember there was a book Bungie kept that had the Lore in concrete. Between who controls what in 343 which consists of some Bungie Employees, at least from a point after Halo 3, Didact took from humans much potential and set them back many years making them much more primitive. "Everything changed with the coming of the Traveler. It gave us gifts that transformed the solar system and the nature of human life. It ushered in the Golden Age, a time of miracles. But it never shared its deepest secrets. Where did the Traveler come from? Why did it offer us so much? Did it know it was being hunted across the stars? And why, when the Darkness came, did it choose to stay and fight for us? Now the Traveler hangs, silent, above humanity's final sanctuary. It may be healing. It may be dying. It gave everything it had to save us. And now its power lies with us, its Guardians." -Traveler Grimoire card The Forerunners gave themselves to save the other souls after the battle with the flood had waged too long. Well, if you think about it the traveler is like the forerunners but it gave to the humans instead of taking away. What happens later on, I do not know. Light and Dark are mysterious things and the awoken particularly have transcended from those limitations. I don't know if this will get seen, but I honestly think this information means something. Since 1998 Joe was a story guy. Myth came out in 1997 called Myth:The Fallen Lords. The story is what it is right now, but the point I'm trying to make is Destiny is a Bungie game with a Bungie story. So yeah make what you will of that. As a side note I'd like to point out an observation: The names of the enemies are not generic with no thoughts behind them. The Fallen are like bandits or sea pirates, Dreg means "the most undesirable part —usually used in plural <the dregs of society>" so these are the grunts of Destiny. Vandals destroy. ketch, a fallen ship well A ketch is a sailing craft with two masts. Captain- Captain of the ship. They make sense. The Hive have fantasy names: Wizard, knights but their floors in the moon are HONEYCOMB SHAPED (not yelling but there is detail to support all the races) Hive, you know bees a bee hive? Vex have lots of Greek names: Minotaur, Hydra, harpy. etc. To find more relations will take time as it took me since the 9th until just yesterday to figure the floors were relating by honeycomb the name of the enemy. PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND. BUNGIE HAS A LOT OF IDEAS GOING ON BUT THIS IS ALL A VERY BUNGIE THING TO DO. oh and here is a heart <3

  • Oh, I also just remembered it makes sense the Hive are on the moon because the moon takes light from the sun so essentially it is a big light bulb (because their name is the Hive like bees so they would be attracted to light).
