No... The hype on this game was mostly on the end of the consumers and the gaming community. By the time this game came out there was little to no way to meet everyone's expectations.. So no. Not to mention the fact that from day one it was stated that this was going to be a continued project so to apologize for something that isn't yet complete is stupid.

  • Continued content should not mean it's a product that can't stand on it's own when released. For $60, the game should feel complete on it's own. Until they add more content, and story, this game is incomplete. If they charge money for said content, then they are doing a pay-for-completion or pay-to-win model. In that case it should have started as free-to-play, or make it a $30 title. Each Mass Effect game on it's own felt complete even though it was touted as a trilogy. They also created a bunch of downloadable content which added even more content to an already great full story. The DLC wasn't needed to feel you got what you paid for.

  • If a product advertises something and it is not delivered that is not the customets fault for being lied to!

  • That's because you aren't aware of the promises that they made and have yet to fulfill.

  • No, the hype was all Bungie. Their ads, their videos, their interviews. Don't tell me I hyped the game. I did my research. They failed to deliver. I have seen better. I have seen bigger. I even bought the expansion pass. What a crock of poop. I hope this game pans out. My friends are playing Shadow of Mordor. The others have not been on for a week. I started a week late. I play only a couple hours a day. I still have stuff to do. This is not the " Epic " " The tower is the social hub" " open world" game that was advertised and HYPED BY BUNGIE.

  • Wow, calm down Hulk... Bungie did what any other developer does, they made advertisements they did the development blog, but had you done your research as you claimed then you know that this was never intended to be a complete project at launch.. That's what you got excited about, that's what you paid for. A work in progress, basically and IOU from the dev team. It's not done, and I am sure it won't be close to an epic game for a couple of years, but if things go as planned then by the time the game is done it will be something that we have never had. As for now, I personally will play till I get bored, stick it on a shelf until more content comes out and play Sunset Overdrive while I wait.

There have been games out of the box with more, MORE content then this game. That's the excuse? Wait? It gets better? Come on, you and I know ( if your a gamer ) That they gave us a game that does not live up to their hype. I am in till my expansion pass is used up. I will stay on after, if it gets better. I hope it gets bigger, better. I like the gameplay. I think the comm. Was a cop out. They are using our systems. They gave us 4 emotes. " Social " at its weakest definition. I started late, still have stuff to do. I am consciously taking my time. Trying to enjoy what little there is till December. That's when the expansion drops? I said that my friends and clan have moved on. They will be back, when? Who you call'en Hulk? Eh Sparky? LOL.

  • Lol, hey to each their own Hulk. I guess all that's left is to wait and see, because threads like this certainly aren't going to make anything happen.

  • I don't know? They seem to be picking up on stuff. " the loot cave " they nerf, and buff certain weapons, the chat will open up for parties. The one thing in this game that bites my butt? The comm. Bungie wants us to go outside the game to LFG. I can't do that. I won't post on here what I want or need to do in the game. Then bump the post till I get the party I need. Game time is short for me. I would like a party finder in the game. Have you seen one? It's not a lobby. We post on a menu or a board in the game. Then go on our way. Every player on your system can see this post. They can join you. The forum in the game? Opening up the chat will help. I saw that is coming. It's frustrating. Patience is a virtue Sparky. Hehehehe.

  • I can't argue that, who ever thought going to the forums to find a party was a good idea dropped the ball.

  • Even some serious things mentioned on their own podcast were cut from the game so regardless of hype, something happened and the game was drastically changed recently

I agree that content was cut, Kings Watch is the perfect example of that, but expecting Bungie to make a formal apology over that would be no different then expecting an apology for the Lord of the Rings directors cut films... Sometimes content isn't cut so that they can nickel and dime you to death sometimes it's because part of the expansion is complete where as the remainder is not. In this case there is a good chance that there are partial dlc areas on disc but the rest of the story or content was not compete by launch.

  • What bothers me isn't that there's dlc on the disc, that's just the world we live in, what bothers me is the total lack of story and that there doesn't look to be that much to the dlc either. dungeon grinding and pvp doesn't not a compelling narrative make
