I am not being funny but that can happen to anyone, just because you haven't had that level of harassment doesn't mean it doesn't happen to guys, in gaming as a whole if a gamer is going to be a dick to a girl they have most likely done it to guys as well but that is taken for granted as just being trolls or people say that's just what the community is like on whatever game, but if a girl gets harassment it is because of her gender? Could it be that the person doing it is just immature? And not put a stereotype on male gamers because that is what you are doing, I myself when I was younger and at a mates house received voice notes off a like 40 year old guy swearing at us etc because we were beating him in halo, I didn't think it was because I was male or my age I just saw it as someone being annoyed and taking it out on someone, it happens to everyone and putting emphasise on one gender in this situation only causes more of a divide rather than creating equality in the fact we all have the same problems, there maybe women who get more shit but I can guarantee you there is also guys that get equally the same amount, this is all personal opinion, in my mind everyone will come across people who troll etc online, regardless of gender and some of this can be good as in banter and friendly fueled disagreements and then there is the ones who go to far, but responding etc doesn't help the best advice I have is if you don't like something someone is saying and you are not the type of person who like to go toe to toe with offensive comebacks then simple mute them and not give them the satisfaction :) also the kitchen jokes may not happen with guys but guys also get gender specific things thrown at them :P no offense meant by this and if I do offend someone I am sorry and give me a message I will try explain myself better in the point in question, happy gaming
