Now this is a post that puts everything into perspective. Real life comes first and you my friend are living proof of what life is about. The fact that you can find an escape playing Destiny makes all the haters seem rather pathetic. I can relate regarding the worry about work buddy as I am currently off sick following a pulmonary embolism. Although I have not lost my job the company I work for don't pay sick pay so I have not been paid for 7 weeks now and it has slumped me deeply into a depression. But reading your post and seeing what you have to cope with is very humbling to me. Here's hoping that things improve for you, you deserve a change of luck fella. Get well soon

  • Things have been slowing getting better since my post two months ago. The missus is working and the doc is still tinkering trying to get me fixed up. I hope you get feeling better soon as well. Embolisms are nothing to laugh at. Big thing that keeps me going and is something to remember would be that it isn't as bad as it could be. In my case, I still have all my fingers and (if you ignore the wife on this one) most of my mental faculties, let alone I haven't been lit on fire by accident. Point is, yes life may be a kick in the balls. Just have to realize that your balls are still attached and punch life right back. It is too short not to make something of it, be it work, hobbies, or love, do what makes you happy.
