Ok, I can respect that. Then why is he given credit on the soundtrack?

He was still there collaborating with the guys to make the soundtrack as it is. His influence is within Destiny, but his voice is on a single.

I see that now with a little search in the right direction. Very odd to have him of all people composing video game soundtracks. The single I get, but seems outside his realm entirely to do soundtracks. Thanks for the pointer.

Apparently he's done some orchestral stuff before, under a pseudonym. He's more of a dabbler than anything, only putting out a few orchestral albums over the years. From what I've read, one day Marty just said "Ah, hell, what if we got someone like Paul McCartney in on this," and the rest is history.
