And almost every single one of you are complaining so bad like they robbed you millions of dollars. If you have played this game more than 2 days total play time....you have more than got your money's worth. If you had fun with this game for two weeks, you once again got your money's worth. If you go to the bar, or the movies, or on a date you will spend more than 60 dollars unless you are the cheapest person on the planet.
Please stop complaining, you all are ridiculous.
EDIT: I really didn't think this thread would take off like this. Thank you for all that contributed and I do hope you all have a great day. Destiny filled or not. Peace and love friends.
EDIT: I had to turn off sound notifications on my phone holy crap people haha. I'm done in this thread, adios.
EDIT: Final edit, if you do feel this game wasn't worth your money than simply stop playing. It's a simple solution. If you feel like you were lied to or you feel unfufilled then I am sorry, but just don't play and you can fill the empty void with something positive you enjoy.

Actually, this game costs as much as one stop on a bar crawl in Portland, OR. One stop, and no hangover. Hm. Hm. Indeed!

Edited by x BayCity x: 9/30/2014 7:09:15 PMDon't tell others when they've got their moneys worth. For me, a game needs to equate to me paying $0.25 per hour. That's 240 hours of playtime. My favorite games equate to less than that. ~50 hours may be the standard you hold your games to but, not me nor a lot of others.
-
This is why I chose to be a gamer. Not a social person.

I personally do feel as if i got my moneys worth, Still enjoying the game and all, but, there's just such a lack of content at release. It just feels so bare-bones and minimal. And that's not okay. Sure, the game's gorgeous. Sure, the gunplays okay, pvp is okay, but we were lied to. Bungie promised us a story. A world we can get lost in for hours upon hours. Not a game where my hours spent are grinding a cave/patrol missions and playing a raid every few days. Literally, the only thing i'm still working for is the weekly nightfall and the raid. Then what? The games over. i didn't rush through the game, because you literally can't considering the RNG of the light levels. I'm just saying i want to pay $60 for a game i feel satisfied with. This game has it's moments,, such as getting Thorn or finishing a challenging strike, but the fun is only in that. The completion. Not the buildup, not the effort, just the completion. That's not something i wan't to see out of my games.

Well I just picked up Shadow of Mordor, and Forza Horizon 2. I found a simple solution to the void left by this video game.... MORE VIDEO GAMES :D See you in December Destiny.... Peace off!

For me, it's not about the money. I'd pay $15-20 to take my wife to a 2 hr movie...so yeah, I'd say I've gotten $60 worth of entertainment out of Destiny. But speaking in movie terms, It's like we were shown previews for Episode IV, but ended up getting Episode I. It's the LET-DOWN. They had 5 years to make this game, which for the longest time looked like it was on course to become one of the greatest games ever. From recent threads, it seems as if some genius decided to go back to square 1 with < 12 months to go. Looks like they cut out a ton of backstory, cinematics, factions, worlds, etc. You're right, Bungie owes us nothing. They made a product and we chose to buy it. However people defending this game seem to forget that it has the potential to be so much more.

Everyone complains about the no story...I have always been under the impression the story would continue through out the expansions. I got a playable game for 60 dollars and will have another continuation of that for $35 (think sequealish) I actually really enjoy the game and have enjoyed the experience thus far. I haven't been bored yet and honestly have only played a few games of PvP. I enjoy the story that I've gotten so far and can't wait to get further into it. At the end of the day if you don't like it don't play it I'm sure you could sell your game away and get most of your money back. It's a game, that cost $60. There is also feedback sections that I think would work even better than it has if everyone could express their opinions like a civilized person instead of just saying "this game sucks". From the looks of it Bungie is listening. So if you care that much to spend time arguing on here continue to give feedback on the game and help improve it. If you hate it so much why are you obsessing over the forums? Move on find something else to play.

I personally have played and enjoyed Destiny more than any other shooter/rpg/mmo.
-
It's not about the -blam!-ing money. A paperback novel is like 20 dollars but it can change your life. This game could have changed gaming as we knew it, but they dropped the -blam!-ing ball and now we are mad as hell.
-
If I could spend only 60€ everytime I go out I would be so happy.
-
As of having been a server for 5 years definitely so true .To me it's definitely worth the money for the hours I've put in this game and many more to come
-
The game as advertised differently, then what is shown. That is why people are upset. They are promised a story, but the game doesn't have one. They were promised a lot of customization, and the game doesn't have that either. I honestly believe they decided to cut content, but it's not like you would believe me.

$60? That sounds like the DD......
-
I know right? You would think Activation had more money.
-
Youre missing the point. Only so many games receive this kind of funding. Theres only so many AAA games that come out. Those are the reason people spent 500$ + on a console + 70 on xbl/psn. This game cost many people hundreds of dollars.
-
So you believe worth lies in time played you honestly believe that?
-
True the amount of money for a game is basically wallet change for a good night out and a few drinks with a taxi home...so I can't hate like someone just cleared out my bank account, but I can have opinions I guess. Anyways you can trade it in or sell it on ebay.... what would make me angry if it came with a online pass
-
Negative feedback is important for improvement. Even Bungie agrees with that.
-
Cant compare apples to oranges, have to compare it to other video games, not a night out, as i can counter with i can go to museums and sight see for free
-
Here's the difference: When I go into a steakhouse and order a steak, I receive a steak. Bungie marketed steak, I paid for steak, and I got a hamburger. Now, don't get me wrong, its a frigging awesome hamburger. But it isn't the steak that was marketed and paid for.
-
Make an apples to apples comparison then come back. IMO, this comparison is nonsense and only the easily influenced or inexperienced won't see the flaw in this poorly thought out argument.
-
This is a great generalization since cost of living (entertainment) differs from one region to the next. As a single individual, it would never cost me $65.92 to go out. I've not been one of the complainers just pointing out that your argument is a tad off.
-
While I'd tend to agree with you, if you're going to the movies for $60, you're doing it wrong.
-
Haha truth, or 5 beers while out. This game has actually saved me money. I stayed in the past couple of weekends. I usually spend 2-300 a night so thanks Destiny!
-
I don't go out. That's a total waste of money. I lift weights and eat lean. I play video games because I love them. This video game Destiny is a solid game. THE PROBLEM IS I CAN'T PLAY SINCE 9/25 my account has been bugged out and all bungie does is give us the run around. Keep saying it's fixed when it's not fixed. So yes paying 60 dollars for a game I can't play is total BS. And the guy who posted about the Steak vs Hamburger is spot on, not you. If I pay for a steak I better get a steak, not a hamburger.
