This game costs about as much as it does to go out for one night
And almost every single one of you are complaining so bad like they robbed you millions of dollars. If you have played this game more than 2 days total play time....you have more than got your money's worth. If you had fun with this game for two weeks, you once again got your money's worth. If you go to the bar, or the movies, or on a date you will spend more than 60 dollars unless you are the cheapest person on the planet.
Please stop complaining, you all are ridiculous.

EDIT: Final edit, if you do feel this game wasn't worth your money than simply stop playing. It's a simple solution. If you feel like you were lied to or you feel unfufilled then I am sorry, but just don't play and you can fill the empty void with something positive you enjoy.

I don't go out. That's a total waste of money. I lift weights and eat lean. I play video games because I love them. This video game Destiny is a solid game. THE PROBLEM IS I CAN'T PLAY SINCE 9/25 my account has been bugged out and all bungie does is give us the run around. Keep saying it's fixed when it's not fixed. So yes paying 60 dollars for a game I can't play is total BS. And the guy who posted about the Steak vs Hamburger is spot on, not you. If I pay for a steak I better get a steak, not a hamburger.

The time I've accumulated on this game is merely just in passing until Alien and Dragon Age comes out. $60 on a night out that will be remembered. $60 on a game that won't. I'm frustrated. You could instead compare the what, $20 I payed for Witcher 2 and the play time and enjoyment I got out of that. Which I can tell you is way over my time with Destiny 3 weeks after it came out. (and I know it's besides the point, but 60 on a night out... Seriously?)

Was it worth it for: -Months of anticipation? -More unfulfilled promises then the Obama Administration? -A portion of the game stripped away to be repackaged as purchasable DLC? -Loot mechanics that sucked so badly balanced coupled with their radical bandaid job did nothing but create more of a divide between casual & hardcore? To pass my time until I have my baby girl is born (the true rpg), I'm content with what I have now. But if the 60$ paid for anything, it would be the confidence that Bungie won't be seeing another dime of my money. We would've had more fun buying Baldur's Gate II enhanced edition; least you'd have a buttload more content plus a solid story.

4 RepliesCost of dinner and drinks at an average restaurant in new haven, ct (where I live) for 2: 120$. Everything else is extra. Destiny is cheaper, and has longer entertainment value, but destiny has never gotten me laid.

Absolutely. There's plenty of fun to be had for $60 and I feel like my money has been well spent. That being said, I picked up a console for the game, so I'll need just a few more weeks of having fun for me to consider the expense settled. :) Of course, that didn't stop me from buying the score off of iTunes and I submit that it's already been worth it. Hearing a few recent developments, I only wish that Bungie would have the financial freedom to move forward and push out the epic story they have dreamed of for so long. It is my hope that Bungie will finish the game that is worthy of its soundtrack. Do it for Marty.

1 ReplyYou are missing the point people have the right to complain about huge flaws in this game such as lack of story and lore building, don't get me wrong I enjoy the game I love the loot grind and playing with my buds but the game fails to immerse me into its world which I feel will kill the game quickly. We don't want to pay for add ons that explain what should already have been explained. A cool add on would be where did the hive come from (this is an example of what I am trying to say) like their home planet not a addon that finally explains who they are like wizards are this and that you can still tell players some info about them without giving away everything

You should also take into account that the game needs a playstation plus subscription to be fully enjoyed. So add that to the investment as well. And I don't care how it compares to other stuff that I buy or invest in on a daily basis; my beef here is that I don't think I got my money's worth. I can afford the price I paid for it, but I don't like spending money and not getting happy for it.

Indeed. Some will say they didnt enjoy the 72 hours they put into it. But the fact is this is no different than any other game in almost every aspect that ppl seem to complain about and now want refunds for. Like they expect bungie to send them strippers to get lapdances just because they spent $60.
