Reading through these posts and seeing how they're mostly hours ago. How the landscape changes when it's outed that the AMA on Reddit is a hoax and a whole bunch of idiots have to eat crow because they believe everything the read on the internet. And yet you're still crying about getting an "explanation" or demanding free content because you felt shortchanged. Go run to mommy and daddy for their credit card and buy another game you idiots because obviously you have no idea how the real world works. Obviously you can't when all you do is cry on an internet forum for free shit. LMAO Go ahead and call me a fanboy. Rather be that than a simp who can't think for himself. *WE'VE WOKEN THE HIVE!!!*

  • I assure you only a small percentage of these people have actually formulated they're own opinion. The majority simply hop onto what was said by reviewers or rant posts on forums like these. Happens with nearly every video game nowadays...this is not some coincidental occurrence. It's a hive mind of hate spun by those who have an agenda against the medium as it exists today, whether it's people who are mad that AAA games are aimed towards casual players more, game developers "rip off" customers, games are more male oriented, or one of the many other hotbed topics surrounding the industry. Nearly everyone who thinks in this way does so because they were manipulated to do so. They don't know it, or they deny it, because that's the point of being manipulated. The other way around is not the case...you can't say someone like me is being manipulated by Bungie to like or accept the game, I make that distinction willingly in the face of all the criticism. They're reaction ends up being combative as result, because that's just how they've been programmed...whatever is against their ideals is wrong, and I in turn am a fanboy, a corporate slave, a Bungie cocksucker or whatever other labels they want to stick on me to satisfy they're own egos. There are some who do think independently on the other side of the fence, no question about that...but those are few and far between. It's easy to tell them from the rest of the drones though, they will hold a debate or conversation and not once ever use the above labels in their defense or try to insult you for your difference in opinion, because it's really not that serious. That's a real small percentage of the people on this forum.

"believe everything the read on the internet". Looks like you believed Deej. Why? No reason other than blind faith. He has no proof it is a hoax. You only believe it was because you read what he said. Also Bungie employees ARE NOT easy to find the wild. I am sure many of them prefer to have a private life where they aren't found so much. So is it hard to believe one of them uses reddit under a throw away account. They are being very private on purpose. A vast majority of players believe in the 404 man.
Looks like you believed Deej.
Nope. I believe in this thing called face value. Truth is that the game was sold as advertised. Everyone knew that (or at least should have known) they weren't getting the complete "experience" without the expansion, and yet you still cry over it (not YOU directly, but I digress). There's information that's been out for months, announced well in advanced, and it flies over your head, but you take an anonymous "source" on the internet as law? Do you or anyone else has proof it's NOT a hoax? Pathetic. I'm gonna go with the "make sound judgements based on factual information" idea myself. Might be a bit too complex for some of you to comprehend. Come at me with something real.

Everyone knew that (or at least should have known) they weren't getting the complete "experience" without the expansion, and yet you still cry over it.
Well this is a lie. You are one of the few people who had this kinda of insight. Many people didn't know they were getting the exact same game they played in beta. They thought the beta was just a scratch of the surface. Destiny has been pushing the advertising, the marketing, the social media of this game for many years. In those years the game was portrayed differently. So I have you have be a talent and impressive individual who had the fore sight of understanding this game before buying it. Glad you got what you wanted. Please next start a blog and let everyone know what you know so we can make sound decisions. Sorry that was my poor attempt at a joke. I like your last comment. Makes sense and I agree with it. Little harder to do with very little factual information. We have no SOLID proof to support either Deej or 404. However we have a lot of support anecdotal evidence. Meaning the evidence is either unproven, bias, generalized, or widely assumed. You can review this evidence here. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70936371/0/0 If you look at the pool you will see a vast majority believe 404 for the reasons listed out below. Like I said it is all anecdotal evidence, but then again until bungie comes out officially then this is all we have to go on. Deej saying on the forums it isn't true with no proof or deeper discussions is not evidence or proof against 404.

The problem I have here is the "pool" itself. So many people are so quick to jump onto this negative hype train, and they really, truly and honestly believe that they're owed some kind of free "make good" based on what they only assume was cut content, predicated by an anonymous and unfounded source. Just as much as Bungie/DeeJ haven't outright made this fabled "explanation" (nor will they in my opinion), neither has this 404 come out and divulge his identity so as to protect his professional career. That right there is complete bullshit to me. To quote a lyric from Jay Electronica, "never throw a stone and hide your hand". If he really wanted to open Pandora's Box and make this an issue that affects not just Activision but the entire gaming industry, he'd out his complete identity. He'd risk his job, because that's what the brave do...they take risks. Edward Snowden jeopardized his own US citizenship to share the truth with the people, a truth that unlike others that may very well be truths get swept under the rug because their mention is unfounded without a face to back it up. Without that face, this may as well be a massive troll of epic scale...not the first time that's been done. Assuming 404 is even a Bungie employee, he's hiding behind his glass shield called a computer monitor, and just as easily as the pool call him a martyr, I call him a complete bullshitter, not until he comes from behind the curtain. THAT will open some eyes. Personally, I'm not so easily persuaded.

  • I like how you started comparing him to Edward Snowden before mentioning his name. I was laughing to myself as I realized what you were saying. I understand where you are coming from. There is no reason for him to out himself. This isn't for general public safety. No ones privacy is at risk. He gains no benefit from proving himself. A large majority of the people complaining only want honest answers. That is what 404 explained, not everyone is crying free content. Many feel that is justified though. "never throw a stone and hide your hand" isn't a bad quote, but not everyone is brave enough to risk it all. If only the brave took risks then not much would ever be achieve. You see leaked information all the time, how do you think it gets leaked? It is anonymous people disclosing the information. If those people outed themselves then how would they ever get additional information? Disclosing yourself to stand on the chopping block isn't the most efficient way to get things done, but I don't entirely disagree with your view points. I just don't think it is so black and white.

  • Well. I instinctively question most everything and blatantly distrust everything else...especially on the internet. This guy could be a Bungie employee just as much as a woman on a date site is actually a man. My issue is the integrity and the intention. He's not even leaking information, merely more speculation. People get nothing out of it except more to fuel the hate train, that's it.

  • Yes, he basically confirmed or denied things. Didn't offer any real additional information. This doesn't surprise me really. So it could be a troll or someone being real safe, but how he answered questions in a consistent and timely fashion shows that he has an amazing ability to bullshit or he is the real deal. One thing appears evident though, his responses made some people feel better. Not all his answers were ones that were already generally accepted. Many people blame activision. In fact he stated that activision didn't have all that great of an impact on it. It seems unlikely for a troll to defend activision. Many other small things like that made it seem real. You are correct, 404 could be a man pretending be a woman though.

  • It's called "buyer beware". It's a good thing that most of the self entitled idiots are either too young or stupid to have a vote in the real world. So terribly sorry it was that hard for you to scrounge up $60 to buy this game, we ALL KNOW you can get at least, AT LEAST half back in cash for it right now. So, I'm sure all the whiners on behalf of mommies credit card MUST have played the game enough to get your $30 worth out of it to make such INFORMED opinions. Tl:dr - I've spent a whole lot more on a whole lot less and handled it like a man and moved on, not like some little bitch with nothing better to do after school gets out.

  • Congrats. Glad you don't mind losing your money. Tl:dr - Again congrats on wasting your money, handling like a man, and not bitching. Cookies are some where over that way ----->

  • But I don't feel I wasted my money. Crazy thing, I have my own opinion and actually not only still enjoy the game, but feel it was a wise investment for time v money. Some people just have the ability to see something for what it is, not what everyone else tells you to think about it.

So you are among the minority. It is good to voice your opinion or else we wouldn't have an idea of how many are unsatisfied with the current state. I do enjoy it to, but I logged on yesterday for a hour or so and realized I didn't want to play because the only thing to do was to grind on stuff for very little rewards. I thought of starting another guardian, but the idea of no story with the exact same grind with the same strikes bored me. Just different supers, jumping, and beat down. Also on a side note, why does only the 4 strikes in matchmaking count as a strike for bounties? The daily, weekly, and nightfall should count too. Everything is a grind, you did it once? GREAT! Do it a few dozen more times. It is a good thing you liked it the first time! :D

  • Minority? I think you havent been paying attention. There is a thread under trending called "honest poll" or something similar where the majority of people are satisfied with the game although it obviously has room for improvements and tweaks. Threads like that where positive feedback meets constructive criticism need to be filling these forums more often than rage filled people who feel cheated complaining about what they should have bought. When a game is this popular, there is always going to be a crowd that dislikes it or feels it isnt worth the money. Unfortunately those people are always the loudest and receive more attention.
