Yeah I guess I put some time in, but I'm already done with Destiny forever. So much content cut out to be sold off as day 1 DLC, and it's a joke. Can't believe how far Bungie has fallen. It's no wonder key employees either quit or got fired. You like the game, congratulations. Destiny still won't be relevant in a few months time. Take a look at the games coming out this holiday and early 2015. The majority of people won't give 2 shits about Destiny by then, because to most people it just wasn't good enough. Shadow of mordor, COD AW, BF Hardline, evolve, witcher 3, Bloodborne, the order 1886, and the MCC. Yeah I'm sure Destiny will still be relevant after those games ship *sarcasm*

And that's when the Destiny community will thrive. People who live from CoD game to CoD game, or every yearly install of BF are here in force right now, and they really don't know what to expect out of it. They bought in on a new shooter and it wasn't their style. Adios, bro shooters. I'll admit, I'm going to sink my teeth into Shadow of Mordor tonight and play it through. I'm sure it will be fantastic. But even they have DLC for days on the horizon. While that may keep me playing it when new stuff drops, I'll slink in and out of that one as well after playing through a time or two. Complexities and fun elements be damned, those kind of "press X to slash and kill" games are a solid break for a bit, but they tire. The knock on Mordor in its reviews is also its storyline, a huge knock on Destiny. I hope those reviews are wrong, because immersion like that helps keep those slash to kill games fresh, for me. Halo holds a special place in the heart of the Bungie community of yesteryear especially, and I'm no different. I'm excited to play it again, mostly to try and get my wife into the series. But at its core, it's a campaign I know and love because I've played it plenty. It's spruced up to look better, but it's nothing that's going to be fresh. The old-new MP can only tie us over for so long after that. The others will garner support from the players that were going to play them. We'll see how they hold out after they launch as well. Destiny's got some growing to do, but if Bungie stays committed to improving it over time, it may right some wrongs. Maybe not for everyone, but as I've alluded to: those folks were going to leave. Game's spike at launch. Come back in a while and see where the community levels off, and where Bungie takes the game going forward. I'll probably still be right here.

Good joke thanks for the laughs, Bungie is in full damage control and it shows by Deej's 1000% increase in posting on the forums. Destiny is a joke.

  • Lmfao you obviously never played witcher one or two then. MCC DLC....nope Bloodborne.....nope Halo 5- yes but it's not going to be disc locked or contain key story elements like Destiny, because why launch a game with a story right? Just chop it up and sell it in as many pieces as possible because retards like you will buy it. Disc locked content lmfao. You're being sold shit that's already on your disc, and you're fine with it. You're the definition of a moron and fanboy. Keep it easy desticle. Just because you think the game is good doesn't make it so, and it will show when this game isn't relevant in a few months time. Look at the trending topics on these forums right now. These forums are a dumpster fire.

  • And that's a miniscule fraction of the Forums, which an even smaller slice of the total player base. Looks like popular opinion disagrees with you, and continues to sign in to the Tower night after night. And I guarantee all those games (barring MCC) will have DLC/day one DLC ready to go once the game launches. You just watch. Still, stay happy.

  • Good rebuttal, know what else is taking up space? The locked content on the Destiny disc you already purchased. Good thing they're charging you twice for it though right?

  • I couldn't care any less, man. The expansion packs were announced prior to release. I knew I wasn't getting all of it. I'm not even remotely upset. Nice try, though.

  • I blame Activision and Sony for the corruption. Activision took the cash from Sony to "make it better on Playstation" and gave them some cut content. Activision corrupted Bungie with their, "all we care about is sales and records" mantra and forced Bungie to release a half-baked game. It's a shame. The game is beautiful. Plays really well. Just everything around those two pieces was just bad. Another case of pretty graphics, no substance. The way of the PS4.

  • Sony merely paid to have Destiny as an exclusive, you tool. Sony has no say in main content, they only demanded that the game be "better for Playstation." It's the same way with Call of Duty titles. They clearly play more smoothly on Xbox consoles than they do on Playstation consoles. Jesus Christ, it's like you children will read any negative post on the Internet and think it's factual.

  • Shadow or Mordor - has potential. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Same old shoot-em-up Call of Duty game. BF Hardline - Most people who are diehard Battlefield fans absolutely hated this game's beta, and it's not changing. Evolve - If you think Evolve is going to be good after seeing gameplay, I don't know what to say to you. To each their own, I suppose. Witcher 3 - I have high hopes for this game. Bloodborne - Meh. The Order - Hopefully the hype doesn't kill this game too... Master Chief Collection - I hated Halo when it came out years ago, I'm still going to hate it today. Obviously Halo fans will eat it up for a month or so, but that's about it. Basically, Destiny has the hypetrain behind it. That's going to carry it for a while, even with other big games coming out. Destiny's sales are no joke, man. Stop being such a pessimist. Also, does this mean you're finally leaving this forum? You're really annoying, and I'm sure you'd be happier if you left too.

Regarding the Master Chief Collection: Since you say you hate Halo and will keep hating it, you probably don't understand why the MCC is such a big deal for the Halo franchise as a whole, and why it will last for much longer than "a month or so", and I doubt my explaining would change anything, but just trust me. The MCC is the biggest thing to happen to Halo. Ever. That means a lot, competitively too. Edit: I do agree with you that WarwickWarrior seems pretty ignorant.

  • I don't see it lasting much longer than that. Please note that I'm not saying Halo games are bad. On the contrary, I think Halo games are fantastic. They play well, they look great, and they bring an originality that appears to be dead in FPS games. I respect Halo games, I just hate them. They're not my cup of tea. Fantastic games, sure. However, I'm just not a fan. I may be out of the loop when it comes to the MCC. We'll see, though.

  • Notice how I said the majority of the people will leave and not everyone? You're an idiot, the hype is already dead. Go look at the trending topics on these forums and tell me people still believe in this game. This game is a hollow, gutted out piece of SHIT! It is full of disc locked content that they are "giving to is." Now come back at me and tell me how it's all part of a "10 year plan." Yeah no shit it's a trilogy, there are going to be 3 damn games. Bungie has always had a 3 year policy between games, of course it's going to go about 10 years.

  • You do realise that this forum is purely the vocal minority, right? Look at how many people still actively play Destiny. Even you can't be so ignorant. This game clearly isn't a failure.

  • ^ This. I continuously laugh at people who (for some reason) think that these forums, Reddit, Metacritic, etc. are the "majority" of people playing a game. For every Forum for a game, there's easily 5 times (or more) people playing the game that never visit the Forums. A very small, vical minority of the Forums quitting a game because they dislike something is an even more miniscule fraction of a game's total population. The idea that he could hurt the game by leaving is actually laughable once you do the math.

  • WarwickWarrior is just your typical hater. His entire existence appears to be dedicated to posting ridiculous opinionated trash on the forum of a game he obviously hates. He attempts to come off as an intellectual, but he fails more often than he succeeds. He seems to think that the negative vocal minority is a major presence and asserts his predictions based on the presence of haters. He fails to realise that nearly every game has a large amount of vocal haters at launch. We're three weeks into the game's life cycle, and he's already asserting that it's going to die based on his opinions of upcoming releases. The very idea that another game could topple Destiny after its very successful launch is his favourite thing to preach. He refuses to admit that Destiny has a large fanbase, and that the majority of them don't come here to post. They simply play and enjoy the game. 500 million dollars earned and 100 million hours played in the first week. Yea, Bungie and Activision are shaking in their boots.
