Misriah (The Year is 2235)
The year is now 2235, we live on mars after we made earth unstable back in world war 4, we are a thriving and growing civilization on mars now, and we are almost done building FTL warp drives to go even further beyond our boundaries, with more updates to come.... UPDATE :We are currently developing a project which involves extremely high tech armor being built, so recruitment now begins for those who think that they can bare this armor. Extensive and advanced training will be required, but you'll be the finest and most elite force in our military.

5 Replies//Begin Transmission Elapsed Mission Time: 01:45 Approximate Depth: 213 Meters Had a run in with some kind of massive creature. Thing was a tank. Wasn't fazed by any number of shots to the face. Back and sides were just as tough. Figured it might be softer underneath. No such luck. Hoped shooting it in the eyes would bring it down, but apparently its skull is pretty thick too. Blinding it did nothing but piss it off. We did eventually kill it, though. Turns out frag grenades aren't part of this thing's normal diet. As of right now, everyone is still breathing. Four are critically injured, though. I'm sending them back to the surface, along with six others. Of the injured men, only one can still walk. If I had to guess, I'd say this thing weighs almost a ton. Surprisingly light, considering. Stands about shoulder height, about two meters long. Don't know how much use this will be to the researchers with its face blown off, but I figured you could use it. There's no way the men can lift this thing out of the hole, so you had better come back with some equipment. I'm leaving a beacon at the location. Five men will stay with me. We'll go on to the temple. As long as we don't run into another one of these things, we'll be fine. Burns out. //End Transmission

1 ReplyOne of my drones brought this back after a scan of Io. It appears to be powered via MicroCell packs, and has no requirement for refuelling. Upon attempt to wear the armour, I was unable to move. Suggest this is forwarded to the Project. Will update if more are found.

Several more suits of the armour found on Io have been found, positioned outside a large cave. I'd sent for a team, but the team already in the Hole need to remain priority until their current condition is confirmed.

1 Reply//Begin Transmission Elapsed Mission Time: 00:34 Approximate Depth: 97 Meters We've entered the mouth of the cave. Place is swarming with bugs. Nothing we can't handle, though. Temple is about a click to the southwest, so we'll be heading in that direction. I'm placing beacons and my armor is giving off sonar pings, mapping the tunnels as we explore them. It won't give us a perfect map of this place, but it will allow us to find out way back out. I'll have my team collect some samples to send back to the labs, but our primary objective is to reach the temple. I'm getting a clear signal on the comms, but I'm not sure how long I can count on that. I'll go as far as I can, but make no mistake. I plan on getting myself and everyone else back to the surface with all our pieces intact. If I don't make it to the temple, we can always try again. That said, I really hate having to do things over. Burns out. //End Transmission

6 Replies//Begin Transmission: Elapsed Mission Time: 00:04 Myself and 15 men have complete preparations for the cave expedition. Though I would be more than happy to just drop a large bomb into the hole and collapse the entrance, I believe that this course of action would be ineffective. There's no way a single explosion could collapse the entire system. If this isn't done right, the diggers will make new entrances, and we'll have to set up more outposts to guard them. Besides, there's some kind of structure down there, and I think we should probably learn its secrets before reducing it to a pile of rubble. Wish us luck. //End Transmission

6 RepliesBurns reporting in. I have arrived at the outpost slightly behind schedule and have begun conducting scans of the caves below. Seismograph readings suggest that this cave system is enormous. Thermal scans indicate a high level of activity. Above-ground activity has been minimal. Nonetheless, I would like to take a team down into the caves to see what's really down there. Then I'll decide how to destroy it. Burns out.
