Nothing was debunked, bungies official mouthpiece stepped out to tell us not to pay attention. It's literally his job to smooth things over. Regardless of the legitimacy of the ama post the problems with the story and super repetitive game play are begging for an answer of any kind. Either something happened that caused the whole story to be moved out of the game into these silly cards or there never was a real story to begin with.
-
As I've posted a few times in this subthread, I was more trying to direct people out of this thread and into the one that had already been lighting up on the subject. Of course it's DeeJ's job to play cleanup when things get messy, and he touched in on it. But the internet's a fickle bitch: we can no more confirm DeeJ is telling the truth than the random guy on Reddit. Anything either says at this point must be taken with a grain of salt.
-
The "bungie" imployee is certainly fake but the cut content is most likely not, go watch the e3 2013 trailer of destiny...
-
To that end, watch the E3 reveal of Halo 2's New Mombasa and the look of the original Halo at MacWorld '99. Things can drastically change, in the case of those two. Destiny is more or less as it was, with a tweak or two in comparison.
-
the entire final act was cut out of halo2. there was supposed to be a huge and epic ground campaign on earth, but it was cut to make the ship date. pretty sure it was joe staten that said that, it was in one of the halo making of vidocs. so yes, they have a history of this, but this was too drastic, esp. since a lot of it was finish, to be resold later as super-greedy dlc.
-
The DLC wasn't finished, at least not all of it. There were bits still in wireframes at launch.
-
in no way, shape or form was it just a 'tweak'. its was quite the massive change.
-
DeeJ didn't debunk shit. He just said "uhhh he's just a troll guize" How's that bungie cock taste?
-
lol why r u soo inclined to believe a random post by a guy on reddit? if you don't like the game just leave
-
And why are you satisfied with letting this slide and believing Deej?
-
Why are you and others treating Bungie like gods????? Maybe they -blam!-ed up! did you think of that? instead of making excuses like activation and "higher ups" did this lol Bungie are OK developers, NOT GOD!
-
There is just too big of a discrepancy between what we were told Destiny would be and what we were given.
-
I'm not saying Bungie is a god, what I am saying is I don't believe Deej anymore than I believe that guy. They both use screen names on forums, they both say they work at Bungie, and last but not least they both seem reasonably knowledgable about the development of this IP. I'm not making a decision till more info comes out or I get more than "Calm down guys it's just an internet troll-Deej" yeah that's real convincing...not!
-
That may be, but we don't need another entire thread devoted to something already on the front page. Childish insults are unnecessary.
-
don't bother, they are just clowns, don't like the game? go sell it its that easy folks!
-
Once that thread gets deleted by Activision, I wanted there to be a backup.
-
if it gets take down by Bungie or Activision then you know what it means right? Psss...the truth
-
Lmao I'm loving it cause you're right if they take it down, it looks like a cover-up and if it stays up, well I'm thinking free DLC this holiday lol
-
Dude that post inst available any more! seems like it was taken down and you know what it is guys!!!
-
Dev team hard at work tonight preparing a damage control statement....unless they think everyone will let it slide an take Deej's "its just a troll guys" comment as enough to calm us down...lol what a joke of a comment he shouldn't have said anything!
-
lol debunked -- just PR damage control. Of course they will deny it. They sure as hell aren't going to fight it.
-
Regardless of whether it was effective or not, it was addressed in another thread, which was my main point.
