Regarding Upcoming Destiny Content
Hey, Bungie Community.
I hope you had a nice weekend.
We noticed that you noticed that we already have plans for upcoming content packs in Destiny.
We do! They have activity names (which may or may not change) and we have a really good idea what they're going to contain. They even have placeholder nodes in the Director, as you've already discovered.
But neither of the Expansion Packs we've announced are finished.
People at Bungie are hard at work to complete content for our first post launch pack, "The Dark Below," as I type these words. It will be finished soon. It releases in December. Soon, we'll detail it out for you so you can see exactly what we've been working on.

There are 7 gear slots and only one tier of raid gear. How is this supposed to hold the interest of a casual gamer let alone a hardcore one? I really hope you guys have some plan for this or destiny will die despite being a very fun game.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of Deej, and on my knees I weep hoping this game will give me a boner. 7 exotic weapons down, three weeks of wasted life and I still feel empty. Time for another drink.

2 RepliesNot to sound rude or anything, just generally saying here. Can you guys work on helping us to understand the story more in future content? Also, maybe release something for Holloween or Christmas too (like a Tower Theme or freebies for doing an event)? Other than that, I'm not going to leave this game anytime soon, and I hope Bungie upholds it's promise of this game being the best MMO FPS game to come out ever in the history of gaming! XD

1 ReplyI personally am loving the game so far, and still feel like I haven't done everything, still working on stuff and progressing. Just like a good MMO. Coming from a guy who played WoW for 3 years and has played tons of other MMO's, I can't understand people that are complaining about this game having expansions. You should be grateful you don't pay $14 a month for it. And if you spent your whole life savings ($60, really?) on this game and regret it; there's nothing you can do, so get over it and accept that you'll have some games you don't like and ones you do. Regrets come often in life.

Cool. Details are always appreciated. One thing I wanted to ask is; will the price of the upcoming December expansion DLC stay the same or will it be lowered at some point?

I don't see why people couldn't wrap their heads around placeholders and updates. Glad to see everything is on track but an added bonus for all the angry fans would please everyone :)

5 RepliesSo the back of the box states, "rich cinematic storytelling set in huge worlds" Can I have what I paid for before considering DLC? The Dark Below promises more story is that like, another cut scene then? Considering the amount of story telling within the full 5 hour game will is essentially like 6 cut scenes I can't imagine a small expansion pack having a sizable amount of story to care about. I can deal without the huge open worlds if you fill in the story at least.

I only have one thing to ask: was that article on reddit true? I mean a lot of us have read it, and while I'm pretty sure either way you probably don't care, some of ya would like it addressed. Was all of that content cut, and the game basically remade? I love the game, a lot actually. Play the heck out of it, but I would have loved to have trading and all the other stuff that was supposedly cut like the resurrection points for the different races etc. Some of us just wish that you'd at least make some comment in it, considering it supposedly came from someone who WORKS at bungie.

It's a game to be played with friends and enjoyed with them. I enjoy the Grimoire Cards, I like reading them. I don't understand why people don't like this game.

Hey @Deej here's an idea for a patch: redeploy the -blam!-ing game that was actually made, you know, the game from last year before your lead story writer quit in disgust.

And guess what? I won't be buying them, at least not until you expand the social aspect of this game (Chat, more accessible Raids, etc) and create a cohesive story. Sorry, but I refuse to support additional content that isnt original and has a plethora of prerequisites to fulfill before you can actually pay it.

After reading your comment...does this mean when you say content you mean DLC? I am wondering if there will be any free content that will be added or are all the events going to take place in areas we have already been? So far all of the "events" seem to be geared towards PvP except the raid which is limited. Are there any plans in future for new content outside of the DLC? I know alot of people on this board say be patient and more content will be coming, but I have yet to find anywhere where Bungie has said that there will be actual new content and not just events. The Queen content is not even permanent so the game is really not growing.
