I appreciate your positive attitude, but please do not mix your wishful thinking with the reality of developers and their ultimate goal. On a technical level I don't have many complaints about the game. Rather, no complaints that are unique to this game. it has all the failings and shortcomings of all modern games. Nothing new and nothing innovative. This game takes a decade old engine, pumps up the poly count (slightly) and applies some pretty textures to their characters and environments. Nothing new. This game has the same abysmal collision detection as every other FPS. It has the same Abysmal movement animations and physics as every other FPS. No boundaries are being broken here. It's just any other generic game with some "new" elements. And by "new" I mean very old elements that have been given different names to sound like something else. It's online. All FPSs are online. They all have communities, they all have clans, they all have leaderboards. This game is not an MMO. I have never seen more than a handful (maybe 6-12) players on the screen at a time unless you are at the Tower (basically the lobby). This game is not an RPG. Every FPS out there has ranks, which unlock perks, which in turn allow for equipment options or skills. Also nothing new. This game broke no ground on storytelling. It certainly had hype, but failed to deliver in every way. What little story we get from this game was given well before its release. All that people cared about revealed in teasers, and virtually NOTHING exciting happened during the handful of story missions that the game contains. The progression was haphazard and slow, and felt unrewarding since nothing you did the story impacted the game world at all. This same, bland, uninspired story that we were promised was going to be so epic, is also enacted poorly by a handful of voice actors that almost completely killed the presentation. I don't care how popular Game of Thrones is, but tanking some star and having home voice your ghost doesn't suddenly make the story grand. His out-of-key dialogue is just awful. it may has well have been Microsoft Sam. Hell that would have been an improvement. While I know that you offer respect for Bungie and the time and effort they put into the game's development, you have to understand that respect is not given - it is earned. $60 is not much. As a spoiled American I have the privilege (not the right) to throw away money as I see fit. And yes, I've wasted it on worse things (anything by Apple). But that doesn't give any company a free pass to slack on the quality of their products or services. That essentially amounts to saying that Bungie is spectacular because, hey, it could have been worse. Logic Fail. For the same $60 I have spent on games with WAY less hype, I expected WAY more from Destiny. Companies and Rockstar, Bioware, Bethesda, and Ubisoft can crank out crap titles by the dozen and still sell copious amounts of games. Bungie promised more and delivered less. they have thrown their lot in with them and are now forever associated with them. they are just another developer with a tarnished reputation. To rescue themselves they have to make it up to the people that pad their wallets. The hand that feels should never be forgotten or neglected. Don't ever - even for a moment think that it's okay to give companies the benefit of the doubt. To sell games (their goal) they need to make games that we the players want to play. End of story. Al that being said. I am not trying to call Bungie the Devil. They are human after and they have thus far shown that they are listening to the community and making changes that reflect what the people are asking for. I will continue to play the game for now and hope for the best. They've already go my $60 after all. I may as well enjoy it. If they decide to improve the game - to earn my respect - to recover their once sterling reputation... than they need to rededicate themselves. And I sincerely hope that they do.

This game is very good with great attention to detail, I can agree with that. But, when you say it's been worked on for a DECADE, people may expect a little more than what they have brought to us. I do think the idea of combining a mmo and a Shooter is a great idea, especially the way that they did it is exceptionally good. However, with a game worked on for "ten" years, you expect a game to be a little more than exceptional.

Guys trust me, he knows what he's talking about. My Uncle's daughter's second son's wife's cousin also works at Bungie and she confirmed it.

It's really a shame that there is so much hate for this game. Despite it's flaws and faults, I have greatly enjoyed my time with this game, doing missions, bounties and just overall having fun with friends and doing random, wacky stuff that would probably be near impossible in a lot of games out on the market. Have faith and believe that this game, this series will get better, will be supported for a very, very long time. The details, the graphics, the amazing public events, the random moments when enemy factions spawn and fight each other with you and your fire team stuck in the cross fire is exhilarating and intense. I'm not going to deny that this game has been a very bumpy ride for us, the gamers and also for the developers, but if you truly enjoy the game or interested in the game, do not let the negative feedback turn you away. There is way too much hate, I know there are some who are genuinely disappointed from playing the game, have faith in Bungie, if you feel like you should however trade the game in, that is your choice and hopefully you'll be back when you feel like the game has evolved to your standards.

I disagree with the part of me being evil with rating it 0/10. I personally didn't rate it 0/10, I'd give it a solid 7. But why am I evil and mean for voicing my own opinion? Its people like you that piss me off. I'm the bad guy for not telling everyone bullshit lies. "This game is great nothing wrong with it!" That's a lie. I don't hate this game I love it, but it doesn't matter how long you spend in making the product, you don't get respect, good ratings esc just cause you spent and stripped you're existence from your family to make it, good they have dedication but what it comes down to is if the consumer loves the final product and if they don't then all that work was worthless

Anything on a disk has been already purchased. Half finished or not. On disk DLC should be illegal. It's like buying a house, then being told the bathroom is off limits until you pay more money a few months down the road. Just finish your disk and charge your asking price..... quit stealing from your consumer basis, it could have fatal consequences.

You can spend a lot of time on making anything and in the end find out that a vast majority of people and professional critics find it only slightly above average in key areas. This is Destiny (for me) - an amazing foundation (art, design, function) on which nothing was built (content, story, matchmaking that permeates the experience). FYI - my biggest issue with that last one is, okay, I'm always online. No gripes about that. But I can't always use matchmaking to form a party? WTF is that nonsense? Am I always online or am I alone? Yes, there are reasons for everything. Design reasons. Technical reasons. Financial reasons. I don't care about those. I am a consumer...and I kinda feel screwed. Trying to figure out how to get my money back for that dlc I now have to wait months to use, even though its on my disc...
