People like you are the problem. No one should be happy with the story we was given.
4 or 5 cutscenes? from a game 5 years in the making?! give me a break.
The DLC was finished when the game was released. It quite clearly should have been included in the $60 launch. not even IGN gave the game a high rating, that alone speaks volumes.

Loved the story and can't wait until more!!

What story?
-
I didn't buy Destiny for a great story. If I want a great story I'll read a book. If I want it in a video game I'll go play final fantasy. I bought Destiny to play with my friends and shoot aliens. Therefore I am happy because that's exactly what I do
-
You can honestly say what's been leaked is "finished DLC"? You genuinely think that a bunch of empty rooms, one room with enemy spawners in it and some map icons is all that we'll be getting in a future DLC?
-
People were saying EXACTLY THIS after the content leak for the game itself "oh hurr hurr it's not even finished yet". Well it released and was exactly as short as the leak indicated.
-
The dark below was finished along time ago. I'm not refering to the 'glitches' people have found. Those glitches probably reveal as much of the content and glitching out of the beta did for the full release.
-
If the dark below was finished a long time ago, it would already be available for sale. There'd be no logical reason to hold it back from release, unless they didn't want to make as much money from it.

Day 1 DLC? Dont you think Bungie have hung themselfs enough as it is without doing that?
-
Bungie haven't hung themselves at all. It's just a large bunch of mindless, ignorant people trying to hang Bungie based on things they simply don't understand.
-
Lol, you are the ultimate fanboy. Go find me a positive review of the game from a credible source and I'll come back and kiss your ass. Until then. Wake up.
-
Ultimate fanboy? I -blam!-ing hate Halo, for one. Fanboy is the gaming equivalent of Godwin's law. People find themselves unable to keep up with a discussion so whip out the fanboy term, thus ending any possible chance of a serious discussion. It's basically the DDoS of games forums. Well played.

Edited by Orthus: 9/29/2014 3:55:32 PMAckter, you may not be a fanboy but you cleary seem to side with greed in regards to day 1 dlc and on disk dlc. I stand on pro-gamer side, if it is on the disc it is included with the initial sale price.

In the majority of instances, if there wasn't planned DLC, that content wouldn't be made at all. It's not a case of creating stuff and then deciding to include it in DLC instead of the release. It's a case of deciding what will be in DLC and then creating it. Remove the decision to make DLC and you remove the content. You won't get that extra content just because there's no planned DLC, that extra content just wouldn't exist. I don't side with greed, I side with rational and logical thought. Using Destiny as an example. If there was no DLC planned, you still wouldn't have got all these leaked areas/map icons as part of the game. If there wasn't DLC planned, these leaked areas would just be glitched rooms without any real content. They would not be part of the release game.
-
The thing that rubs me wrong is that dev time was spent before the certification process to add this to the disc. I believe devs should only start work on DLC after the 1.0.0 version is sent to be certified and packaged.
-
You can believe it as much as you want - it'll just never happen any more with a game that includes DLC.
