Some things to consider: first, don't panic about this content being on the disc. It's entirely possible these map markers are placeholders buried in the code, or markers from the testing phase of the December expansion which is likely being QA tested as we speak.... err... I mean type.
I also wouldn't worry that there aren't any new planets shown on this map - this is a glitch, not a map update. That being the case, this information is likely incomplete and also subject to change.
I am, however definitely concerned with the fact that these markers all appear on the same land masses we're already been running around in since the game launched. That would seem to imply the new content will take place, at least partially, in the maps we're all come to know extremely well by this point. If true, that's disappointing. I like Destiny quite a bit in spite of its flaws, but make no mistake, the lack of varied areas to explore is a MAJOR flaw, and I don't think Bungie can get any more mileage out of those maps at this point.
Based on the mission names, it looks like the expansions will fill in some of the gaping holes in the story. This doesn't necessarily mean these missions were cut from the game to be added in later, it probably just means Bungie had a plan to flesh out some of the side stuff by way of expansions.
Keep in mind, at this point this is all speculation. We won't know anything for sure until Bungie announces it, or until the expansions are actually released.

There are grimoire cards for - the reef, Mercury and Saturn, so I would expect all to be new playable areas in upcoming dlc. Whether they are going to be in the first two packs remains to be seen.

Its common knowledge the expansions have no new planets. Best you can hope for is destiny 2.

Common speculation*

Lol, you think we are getting more planets.

Lol blind faith. Do you believe in santa still also.

Right 9mb for placeholders.

What about the fact that some of these areas are already in the game right now? Not only in the game, but fully constructed areas, complete with enemies, bosses and secrets to find, just blocked from access by doors. People have found ways into these areas and have seen this to be true, this is not speculation. Especially since some have even been banned for doing so.

That would imply that they may be adding things within the weekly updates. Things like the enemies, loot boxes, grim cards, etc. That also doesn't mean that they have finished all of the places for the expansions either... they can't get into every place where there was a place holder. All we can really do is wait and see. And personally if all of the content is there I would still buy it bc this is a fun game and that will give me more to have fun with...plus I wouldn't have to wait on download time...

I bet they all can be accessed. Each week people are finding new areas. Now it's not just the earth areas, Venus and the moon now have areas that can be accessed.

We have a warrior defender

I agree with this statement, it is entirely possible that the map markers were added in for later use and it's not actually there as one mission had some genric name. Now if people buy and DL the dlc and it's a small down load, people will completly rage, even more so than now.

I personally am hoping that the missions mentioned in this map are only some of the missions you will be doing and that others will be in new areas. I think I might be right about this because there are really only a few of new missions for each expansion.
