dear bungie , please give us back the ascended shards we have rightfully earned.
Because bungie , many of us have done the work , we did the bounties , we have done the missions , and keep getting the same damn stuff ,I feel its our right to get shards from these items , just as we would any other legendary gear we break down , and to say its wrong and to take them out of the gear is cheap and shallow way to address all the -blam!-ing peons on this game bitching about people's methods and farming, you don't want people to have shards so easily that's fine , but then you must take shards out of every single gear in the game including raid.
and here's another way to look at the queen's missions , they are basically supped up versions of the daily heroic missions , and what is the reward for doing level 28 heroic besides increased Xp ? oh right two ascendant materials , often shards .
what im implying is the shards you can get from breaking down legendary gear is like an alternate reward for the queens wrath missions for those who've gotten her gear already .
while id hope you'd come and respond deej on why im right or wrong , im not going to hold my breath , so anyone who reads this come and bump this , and maybe we can get them to change or at least answer this post .

they could of least did a counter where you only get three or four shards ever from her gear or my other idea: you get a CHANCE to get a shard if you level up the gear filling out the first circle that needs a shard to upgrade. it's fair and not 100 % guarantee to get a shard. probably to late for this event but next event they do something similar

6 RepliesYou could get a redonkulous number of shards though, im not surprised Bungie took that course of action. I'll do the kill orders for the sake of doing them (and I want dat ship), but I find it kinda strange you dont get any rep for doing them...

Edited by Zeldafan92: 9/28/2014 8:18:05 PMhas no one understood what I said in the first paragraph ? you want to take out shards ? kay , but then ALL legendary gear must meet the same fate , its ironic this comes right before they release a patch preview stating all ascendant materials will be moved to legendary to better associate them with the items they upgrade , so see , ironic right ? so now all ascendant materials will be moved to legendary , except for you queen's wrath gear , no you don't get that privilege ..... basically queen legendary gear is going to be a sub-par class of gear to bungie, good enough they call them legendary , but not good enough to contain shards

I agree with bungie taking away the shards...you got more shards for doing those easy missions then you did for completing the raid. The missions are not pointless either...I have earned legendary weapons from them...also the xp gains are good for weapon upgrades.

1 ReplyOf you want shards level up your crucible or vanguard or a faction to 2 buy gear using marks and then dismantle it and you will get your shards

Why give 6 missions per day, for 2 weeks, and only have 3 rewards, handed out over and over and over again. I tried to get the ship and got the helmet 7 times straight! Dismantled them and got NOTHING! Not even the hunter wire. No point even ranking up the queens rank, as the stuff for sale is rubbish. They wanted to stop the shards, I get that. But either make some decent rewards, even notes of light or coins, OR cut down the missions. This randomness is crazy. Speaking of that, I saved up 42 blue engram's and 4 purples, decrypted them today, got around 20 greens, 24 blues, and a few coins. Ranked up the cryptard to 28, got 2 purple engram's, both blues! I'm level 29 ffs, giving me things I needed when I was level 13 is just stupid. Giving me 7 queens helmets in s row is just stupid. Also, I've had 7 exotic bounties, and the last 5 have all been the same one. I've now done the lmg good advice one 4 times, and dismantled it for energy. There's randoms people getting exotic snipers for going 3-20, and I work my arse off no reward. Not sure how much longer I can keep going before my hunger runs out. I'm now looking towards advanced warfare and not the expansion pass for destiny. I loved this game, still do.

It's fine that they don't give shards. The gear given is only two pieces, a helmet and chest, which will help those that are having trouble getting it. Considering that it takes literally less than five minutes (for me) to clear the Queen version missions, it's pretty messed up to get Shards for it. There's also this weird thing about bounties resetting for a second time after the original bounty reset, making it to where some people can do it twelve (12!) times. If each one gives a helmet or chest, and each helmet or chest gives at least two, that's twenty-four (24!) Shards at minimum [i]every day[/i]. That's literally enough to max out two pieces of Legendary/Exotic. That's crazy. So, no. They don't need to have Shards again. This event is literally (now) for those that either want a ship, a shader (or two), an emblem (or two) along with some weapons that will probably not surface again for some time. Don't want to battle RNG for these things? Don't roll the die.
