Absolutely. No. Trading.
Seen it ruin so many games.
What DOES need to change is the post-20 leveling system.

Edited by DasBigHippo: 9/23/2014 1:14:48 AMIf it is only between friends, I could see it work. Also to get around the whole "let's become friends and trade" thing that would happen. Make it so you could only trade with people that have been on your friends list for a month or so.

No. Trading. Listen, I realize that it sounds cool to you in some ways, and it smoothes out the RNG curve to be sure. But right now Destiny lacks a few major issues common to other MMOS of this size: Economy inflation, where powerful gear is equally impossible to get (remember, Glimmer caps out at 25k) For Profit Farming, where sweatshops in third world countries farm various unique or rare items And account hacking, where unscrupulous organizations try to get access to your account so they can sell your legendary and exotic gear. Is live for these to be issues in other games, thanks. Or at least not in Destiny.

This is why I said trading, but only with people you have been friends with for a certain amount of time. A month or two. If they don't add trading they need to at least make it so Engrams don't turn into items for other classes. I've had Legendary Engrams turn into Legendary Titan and Warlock gear but I'm playing Hunter, and I don't know when I'll be switching characters, if I will be. I have a Titan made, but I'm not sure when I will actually get to do stuf with him.

You have three free slots. Use them. Heck, the first guy to reach 30 shows that he clearly was using three accounts to farm Coins and Ascended gear faster than any one character could manage due to the earning caps.

Or they could make it so Engrams won't turn into things for other classes. I honestly don't care if they add a trading system or not as long as they do that.
