I'm still trying to figure out the difference between grinding the Skywatch cave in Destiny and grinding in any other RPG. This entire debate actually boggles my mind. I'm used to people debating the best grinding areas rather than debating whether or not it is okay to grind. Grinding has always been a given in these types of games. I really do not see why there is an issue at all.

The reason why it became an issue is because the majority of people who play came from FPS backgrounds, not MMO's. They're simply not used to the idea and for that, there needs to be some understanding.

Edited by Jake: 9/22/2014 12:46:12 PMFor me it's not so much about people actually farming the cave. I just have a problem with a level 3 enemy dropping the same loot as a level 26. Imagine if in world of warcraft you could take your level 80 and sit at the starting zone and kill the level 2 enemies without taking any damage and getting endgame gear for it. I'm not saying the cave is cheating in anyway at all. By all means do what you gotta do for your gear. But I just can't get behind a level 3 dropping legendary or exotic gear.

Then the true issue is the loot system rather than the method of grinding. Why have people misidentified the issue?

Because they need something to rage about. Instead of seeing the real issue they only see what's on the surface

I agree with you 100% It's all about the best place to grind in mmo's Almost every person that is against it are people from fps franchises like halo, battlefield, call of duty, and so on. heck they think this farm spot is op and go to any other mmo let's say runescape, there's spots on there where you can make 1mil gold and hour just by bowing a spawn point from a safe spot. heck there's even spot on borderlands games you can do this and they never patched them..People just don't see outside their past genre. the cave is not op or exploiting, everyone can do it at a low level, it's easy to get to. Also I guarantee most youtube commentators have used this spot to show the items to you, that's right the commentators they look up to farmed this cave, wonder if u still look up to them now.
