Cryptarch needs an A$$BEATING!!
seriously bungie love destiny I truly do but the cryptarch needs to be dealt with out of like 40 legendary engrams 5 are actually legendary wth bungie please fix this

I've only gotten a small amount of purple engrams but I've gotten several legends and a exotic helm. It might help that I dedicate all my crucible kills to the RNG gods.

My mate is pissed with him too, he's buying everything now, me I've had 3 boots from him boots, right so I have 1 and need to save one as it's a hunter and the other I had to dismantle... why? my current boot is better. Why don't they improve him?

1 ReplyI have my cryptarch up to lvl 30... trust me it does not make a difference. All i get is blues or greens. I have turned in 6 or 7 purple primaries in the last two or three days. All blues... and a few being lvl 16 blues. Whats the point. I guess more staring at a whole in the wall on earth. Great game bungie...

2 RepliesHahaha laughed so hard at that. That guy is suck a prick I'm Lvl 7-8 I forget in the crypt arch and have gotten 2 actual legendary items out of like the 25 I've decoded. And one was a god damn arm band for a warlock?? (I'm a hunter) F$&& that guy

You are absolutely correct. The Cryptarch is not funny anymore. I have never played a MMO with a loot system before that is this frustrating and I played a lot of them. Say it was a bug or something like this and let it vanish. You should at least get what you see. There are not many drops unless you use the game mechanism against itself and if you have found something good there is still I high chance of getting it ruined. And not everyone is good at PvP so that they can farm some marks and buy crusible gear. Bungie please listen to the people. If it stays like this, people will be getting frustrated if they don't see any progress and fail one time after another. They will leave and play some other games. It kind of hurts to say but the current loot system is as bad as the old Diablo 3 system in my opinion. In another way but still bad. Destiny is one of the best games in the last years and I really like it, so please do something.

I've NEVER gotten one, so you're 100% as far as I'm concerned. I'm also level 4 with him and still nada. My legendary story for my legendary arm armor? "I turned in 50 spinmetal to get the final Vanguard marks I needed to buy them". It should've been... " It was me and one other Guardian took on to free the archive from the fallen on level 24 while were only level 22 . I picked up a legendary engram and took it to the cryptatch. He handed me a badass piece of armor. I said thank you and I went to stomp on some vex.

Last night a couple of friends and I completed the weekly night fall. They both got awesome legendary weapons and I got a purple engram. I was pretty pissed especially when he turned it into a rare. Smh

1 ReplyI don't even farm anymore due to the fact that Legendary Engrams don't give me anything. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled from Borderlands but having an RNG inside an RNG reward is pretty stupid. Why have something that hardly drops have a low chance of giving you what it was intended for? A little boost in Legendary gear returns would help but i'm just complaining.

Trust me the level doesn't matter I am currently a level 24 and just got a legendary engram and it was for a freaking warlock and i am a titan!!

9 RepliesYou need to rank him up, the higher his rank is t he better your chances of getting legendary loot. Also legendary engrams dont guarantee legendary loot the whole idea is to increase the chances for legendary looks by adding the number of possible exotic items and legendary items to the pool with the rare and uncommon ones if I have a bag with 50 blue jelly beans and 75 green jelly beans then I add 25 purple jelly beans (this is roughly equal to a blue engram) your odds aren't high if you want to pull a purple one but if I add another 15 yellow jelly beans (rough equivalent of a purple engram) you still aren't guaranteed a purple but the odds of getting purple or yellow items has gone up so its not increasing the odds of legendary items per say as much as it actually increases the odds of you getting something you want

no way man. that guy is awesome often I spend every dime I have on his green engram just to dismantle them for weapon parts and to rank him up. when ever you do a raid or loot farm put on a glimmer boost for the enemies in the area. killing a yellow health bar guy is like opening a chest in terms of the amount of glimmer you get with the boost on

On that note, I have received a few rewards from the postmaster that listed potential prizes as either rare or legendary, how come I got 3 uncommon item from that? (3 out of 4 were green, the last one was a strange coin.
