It's funny because by attempting to complete any objective you're automatically farming. This game is designed for item farming. The entire playstyle revolves around farming in PvE and PvP.

Farming is repeating tasks like patrols & strikes or scouring the map for resources. Sitting in front of a cave is an exploit that'll be patched in the next hot fix. To the OP, you're a friggin idiot to assume everyone will do it. I won't. Why would I? I'm smart enough to earn my loot w/o RNG. As a matter of fact, I'm the guy who's AFK in that cave so no one can use it...

There are [i]entire playlists[/i] reserved for randomly repeating Strikes at various difficulty levels. Destiny is about grinding and farming.
