2 RepliesI figured the cave out. The Cryptarch is secretly forbideen by the Speaker (who's a minion of the Darkness) to decode engrams into decent items. This is the Speaker's way of controling how powerful the guardians get. The Cryptarch, being the cunning bastard that he is, discovered this cave where he actually stores all his cool items, away from the evil eyes of the Speaker. All he asks in return is for us to kill the Hive minions incessantly. Love the cave.
